We were best friends for the longest time, maybe even a little bit more than friends but that didn't matter much at the time. We were inseparable.
But when the opportunity to go to Yale came along, I grabbed it as fast as I could like any normal person would. It was a dream come true, except for the fact Dawn couldn't come along. I never thought it was possible to feel so happy and heartbroken at the same time.
Before I left Florida, we promised to write letters. At first we did, and I would use every second of my free time to write to her and she would always write back. Then the letters started coming less frequently and I barely had enough time to write to her myself. Until one day, the letters stopped coming. I was so caught up in my studying and classes that I hardly even noticed.
I came back to Florida only to hear that Kim had gone off to a college in New York. I tried to convince myself to call her just to say I was in Florida again, but I chickened out. I didn't know where I stood anymore. I was probably just that one boy who moved away.
One day while I was at Taco Bell, I caught a glimpse of really light blonde hair. I turned around to see who the girl was. Her bright smile and blue eyes looked so familiar. On impulse, I tapped her shoulder.
"Hey, I'm Scott," I said.
"I'm Dawn."
Oh I don't own Total Drama or Taco bell
