Draco Malfoy was six-years old and three months, he got very annoyed when his mother said his age and forgot the months.
He also got very annoyed when people ignored him like his father was doing right that second, too caught up at staring at piles of papers at his desk.
Normally he wasn't allowed in his father's study, but with his mother out shopping and the House elves busy preparing for the ball that they were hosting on the weekend.
There was a time when he'd be left to his own devices, but after he broke his arm after he fell off his broom his mother had threatened to make his father's life a living hell if he didn't watch Draco when she wasn't there.
"I'm bored" Draco whined, really loudly.
"What do you want me to do about that?" Lucius asked, not bothering to look up from the paper in front of him.
"Play Quidditch with me"
"I'm busy and your mother would kill me if I let you on a broom again until she says" Lucius answered, finally looking up at his son.
"You're scared of mother?" Draco asked, giggling at the thought of his father being scared of his mother.
"Draco, let me give you a piece of advice that will help you greatly in the future. All the women on your mother's side of the family have a temper and know lots of useful spells to inflict the maximum of pain".
"Mother loves me and never gets angry at me or Uncle Sev or the House Elves or anybody but you" Draco said, smirking. "Maybe I should be the one giving you advice about mother?".
