Notes: This was going to be a two part story. After writing the first part, I went back and changed most of the story and added so much new elements to the story that it become super long. I realized that I would have to break up the first part into two halves, at the least. This chapter is more of a getting to know each other arc while the next chapter will be more of a growing closer. My goal is to make you cry. Since i don't own Big Hero 6, this is just for our enjoyment.
Reviews are helpful and a nice thank you to the writer if you enjoyed his/her work.
Tadashi may not have been known as a ladies man, but he wasn't a monk either. He noticed girls and sometimes they noticed him. But she never looked his way. She just went to class, spoke with the teachers, and brushed past him like he was nothing. It would have hurt if she hadn't treated everybody that way. In fact, she kept very much to herself. Her hair was always hidden. She always wear sunglasses, even in doors, and she covered up most of her body. She dressed stylishly and did show skin from time to time, but she was always modestly dressed. No one knew very much better her. It seemed that she didn't talk to anyone at school. But there was something about June that he made him want to reach out to her. He just didn't know what.
He recalled the first time he spoke to her. Well, spoken was the wrong thing to say. It was more like a few rushed words and her dashing past him.
I had been the middle of the night. He had given up on working on Baymax for the moment. He was nearly kicked off his feet when a woman ran right into him. He looked her over and noticed at it was June.
Her hair was long and white. It reach down the middle of her back. There looked to be some kind of animal ears on her head, maybe wolf ears. He looked down to see a white tail attached to her equally white dress. She took a step back as her red eyes grew wide. She almost didn't look human. Her hands slowly went to cover the ears on her head and she blushed a bright red.
"Are you alright?" He asked her before she bolted past him. It seemed like she was deeply embarrassed, or at least that was what he thought. He would too if he had been dressed like that.

Three days later, she appeared in front of him. He hadn't seen her walk up to him and he wasn't sure where everyone had went. Had he stayed that late in the lab? She was blushing softly as she pulled her hat down a bit more. He couldn't tell if she was looking at him or the ground. Her sunglasses were too dark, but he imagined it was both.
"About the other day..." She started to explain.
"Look, if you like dressing up like a wolf-"
"It's not that." She rushed out. "I wasn't dressing up for fun. I mean it was kind of fun, but not the point of it." She blushed. "I was with my family. It was for them I was like that." She turned a deeper shade of red.
"Oh, well." He smiled softly. "That's cool. Not many would do something like that for their family." He pointed out.
"Yeah." She seemed nervous. "Please, don't tell anyone. I'd rather not have the whole school think I'm some weird furry chick. Cuz, I'm not into that thing." She bit her lip.
"Nah, I honestly wasn't going to tell anyone about it." He assured her. "It was clear you weren't comfortable." She nodded her head before glancing around. "Is there something else you need?"
"I wanted to know if you'd lend me your notes for class." She sighed out. "I'm not good with this robotics stuff. I'm only taking it because I have to in order to get in with one of the heads of my department. But I'm going to barely pass the class at this rate. You're one of the best in class and I thought...maybe your notes could help me out."
"Or I could tutor you?" He pointed out.
"Really? You'd do that for me?" She beamed before correcting herself. "I mean, you don't have to put yourself like that. I'm sure your notes will be fine."
"How about I'll give you my number and the book if you promise to call me when your stuck?" He thought it over. "I'm normally here so I'll be able to answer any questions you have."
"Okay." She bit the inside of her cheek. "That's sounds fair to you."

It was crazy how often he found himself thinking about her. He recalled the night he saw her running around the campus all alone at night and how she appeared each day in class and sat as far away from everyone as possible. She watched people carefully and moved quickly with great grace. He couldn't help but picture her as some kind of regal animal, waiting and watching for something worth investing in.
It was odd how thinking of her also made him think of his father. He tried not to think about what he had lost, both his parents, and focus on what he still had, his brother and aunt. But there were times, much like the past few nights, were all he could think about was the past.
Tadashi smiled softly as he dreamed of his boyhood. He dreamed of a small white puppy with large red eyes that dance around him with such joy and life.
"Careful with her." His father warned. "Don't let her get hurt."
"I won't." He promised as the puppy raced between his legs. "I'll always protect her." The little dog seemed to blush at this remark. His father laughed at the pair before him.
"Wait!" A woman called out. "Let me take a picture! My daughter will love it." This woman was not his mother, but she seemed to be someone important.
"I think they'd both like it." His father agreed. Tadashi took the dog in his little in his arms and pressed it into his body. The puppy licked his face as the woman snapped the photo and beamed.
"How cute!" The woman cued. "You can have her forever if you want." The puppy seemed confused, but Tadashi jumped for joy.
"Really?" His father frowned and shook his head. The boy understood. No matter how much he cared for the little puppy, he couldn't keep her. "I can't. I'm sorry."
"Maybe, when he's older and he knows what it means to have her..." His father stated to the woman. She nodded her head before taking the little dog.
"You have my blessing to come for her when your older." The woman smiled. "Just stay noble and true."

Beep. Beep. He heard his phone go off. Someone was texting him. It was two in the morning. What kind of person texted at two in the morning? Monsters, or Fred when he went on a movie bender, that was who!
'Are you awake?' Tadashi read as he sat up. He glanced at the number. It was her number. June had texted him. A week later and she was asking for his help.
'Yeah.'
'Did I wake you? If so, sorry. I'll talk to you in the morning.'
'No, you didn't.' He wrote back. She wouldn't know that he was lying. 'We can talk now.'
'It can wait until morning.' She texted back after a moment. 'I'm just struggling with understanding all of chapters three, five, and seven. But it can wait for later.'
'I'm up' He glanced at his sleeping brother. 'We can meet at school. I've keys to the lab. I can show you hands on learning.' He frowned before sending another text. 'Like with building robots. Nothing prevented or anything. I wouldn't do that.' He wasn't sure if that came out alright or if he sounded like a creep.
'I can be there in an hour if you still want to meet.'
'See you there.' He smiled at his phone.

When they met, he noticed that she had her head covered and sunglasses glued to her face. She seemed to be leaning on the balls of her feet. Her arms were over loaded with books and papers. She had also brought a bag of takeout with her. He smiled at her kindly.
"I thought I should feed you if I was going to keep you up all night." She explained as she held up the bag.
"That's awesome because we may be here for awhile." He took the bag from her and peered inside. "No way. Are this Mouth Washes? I haven't seen this since I was like five." She giggled softly. "Ah, man! Your taste in candy is awesome."
"Thanks." She blushed softly. "But there's real food in there too." She pointed out.

They talked for hours and hours. They had a lot in common. They loved horror movies and enjoyed biology a great deal. He found out she wanted to create a way to change a persons appearance on a cellular level, such as eye, hair, and skin color. She wanted to try skin first, but it wasn't working out too well. It was her hope to have it working before the fair next year.
"The rats don't seem to be changing color at all though." She said in between bites. "I just don't see why. But I think if I stopped working on the albino ones and switch to normal rats... I'd see a change."
"Why work with the albino ones? Doesn't that seem to be a waste of time?" He asked as finished his noddles. She was still wearing her sunglasses, but had taken off her hat. He was amazed at how long her hair was and that she colored it purple. He hoped that she hadn't done it by herself. That would have taken hours to bleach and color.
"Well, I think that for albinos looking normal would mean a lot." She sounded a bit sad. He noted that he still hadn't seen her without her sunglasses and her hair was an odd color. She was also rather pale. In fact, he would call her white as ghost or sheet of paper.
"Are you-"
"I should get going." She said as she looked at her phone. "My sister needs me and I need to shower before class."
"Yeah, I'll see you later." He stated as he watched her pack her things up. "We can finish going over everything tomorrow."
"Tomorrow's no good." She eyed him carefully. "But the next day is fine."
"Great." He smiled at her. "We'll meet here."
"Kay." She waved.

Tadashi laughed as he exited his lab with June in tow. This was there third torturing session. The two of them had a lot in common and she seemed to becoming more comfortable with being around him. She was still very careful and avoided touching him as much as possible. Distance was important to her which was why he was shocked that Fred seemed to know her well.
"She-wolf!" Fred yelled out as he rushed towards them. June was fast on her feet and swiftly moved aside so the lizard wearing man rammed into a wall.
"You do know that she-wolf is slang for hooker, right?" June asked in a heated tone, but she didn't seem out right angry.
"What? Really?" Fred sounded shock. "Aw, but it was perfect for you." She growled at him slightly as he rose to his feet. He raised his hands. "Okay, okay. I get it. New nickname. No need to bite my head off." She shook her head.
"What are you doing here Fred?" She sighed out.
"Working." He answered. "Like the costume?"
"Not really." She crossed her arms and rubbed them. She felt uncomfortable. It seemed that she was nervous.
"I can't believe your here." Fred gushed. "And you met Tadashi! That's awesome. He's like-"
"Last time you told me someone was awesome I some how ended up in a desert..." She glanced around the hall. "I rather end the story there because the rest... is weird."
"But you had fun." Fred pointed out.
"I didn't have fun." June frowned. "April had fun. I... have nightmares about that."
"Well, last time I got you confused with your sister, May." Fred stated. "For May, that guy would have been awesome. You're all noble, honorable, future ninja master's wife."
"How do you two know each other?" Tadashi wondered. June didn't seem like the type that would befriend Fred. They had nothing in common.
"His dad knows my mom." June explained. "Sometimes, business and spending time with their children overlapped."
"She's great at hide and seek." Fred laughed. "One time I was it and I couldn't find her for a week."
"He's dad found me." June explained. "He was worried I was taken or dead."
"Wow, where were you?" Tadashi asked.
"Here and there." She shrugged. "I'm like a Cheshire cat. I appear and disappear."
"But you're not a cat." Fred sounded confused. "You're a dog. So, you can't be a Cheshire cat."
"I think you rioted your brain out." Tadashi chuckled. He turned to speak to June but found her gone. "Where did she go?" He hadn't heard a door open and the hall way went on for a while before one could turn. He looked down the other end to find no on there either.
"Who knows." Fred shrugged. "She's always running off like that. It's kind of hot if your into mysterious women. I'm more into the gusty type." Tadashi wasn't sure if he liked mysterious women, but he liked June a great deal. She was shy and thoughtful while at the same time stood out and full of mischief. He was sure that she had disappeared to prove she could.
"I'm over here." She cocked her head to the side and blinked a number of times. She had ended up behind Fred. The lizard tapped his chest and spoke of hear attacks as she looked at him with empty eyes. "I'll see you in a few days." She waved before skipping off.
"It's good to see her like this." Fred smiled as he watched the albino walk away. "It's been awhile." Fred glanced at Tadashi and smiled knowingly. It was good to see them both like this. It had been a long time for both of them.

Was it wrong that he enjoyed having her around? Tadashi thought to himself as he glanced at her. She looked over their notes as she played with a pen. She was really trying to understand everything and anything dealing with robots. She was aiming for an A on the next exam. She slowly took off her sunglasses to rub her nose. When she opened her eyes, he saw that they were a deep red. He stared at her in awe of her haunting beauty. For some reason, he felt like he had seen an Earth bond goddess. He watched her blush under his gaze as she slid her glasses back on.
"You don't have to wear them." He said. "I don't care if you have red eyes. They don't bother me."
"They bother most people." She frowned deeply. "They bother my brother." She whispered softly. He could sense a great deal of pain in her words. He couldn't imagine anyone, more so her own family, looking at her as though she was a monster. She was by far the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
"But not me." He smiled at her. "So, you should just leave them off. Besides, it's just the two of us." He hoped that would make her feel more comfortable with them off.
"Okay." She said as she folded her glasses up. "Since it's just the two of us."

He couldn't recall the first time they had touched, skin to skin, but he could remember the moment he realized how much their relationship had changed. Her skin brushed across his as he reached for a book beside her. She hadn't even noticed that she let him touch her. She never let Fred or Honey Lemon touch her. She always moved out of the way and Wasabi wasn't much for needless touching either.
"Is something wrong?" June questioned as she looked up from her book. Tadashi had been staring at her. He shook his head.
"No, it's nothing." He sighed. "Just Baymax."
"Oh," She frowned as she looked towards the bot in question. She quickly smiled at Tadashi. "The cherry blossom does not bloom in one season, but rather over the course of many. To enjoy its beauty, nature must work hard. The harder you work, Tadashi, the more beautiful he'll appear to be when you finish."
"That's deep." He said after a long pause hung in the air. "Like really deep." She busted out laughing and he quickly followed.
"Well, I'm the thoughtful sister." She mused. "Deep is what I do."
"And your sisters?" Tadashi never heard her speak much of her family. He wondered if they were close.
"May, my eldest sister, is insightful. She reads people every well, but is very self serving. April is big on striking her first, which means she rushes into things from time to time. More so if it's to defend someone she cares for."
"So, what's your downside?" Tadashi eyed her softly.
"I thought it was clear as day." She gaped. "I'm the cold, distant one."

Finals were coming up and after that they wouldn't need to study together anymore. They wouldn't be sharing a class and he wouldn't have a reason to see her again. He wondered what he should do, if he should ask to see her during break or something.
"Hey, Tadashi." She waved at him as she stepped into their classroom. "Since I'm going away during break, we should do something when I get back. I never really thanked you for helping me out so much."
"Oh, yeah." He nodded his head with a tiny smile. "That sounds great, but you really don't have to do anything." What the hell was he saying? He wanted to see her again, but if he kept talking she may change her mind.
"Don't be stupid." She shook her head. "I owe you. You helped me out a lot. Please, let me do this for you." Her puppy dog look softened his heart and he sighed/
"Fine." He said in a defeated tone. "If it'll make you happy."
"Oh, stop." She laughed. "You know you have fun with me."

Break was torture. Tadashi often spent his day glancing at his phone. He wanted to talk to her, but wasn't sure if he could. If she wanted to talk to him, she'd text of call. Plus, she may be busy and he didn't want to be rude.
"Who is she?" Aunt Cass asked.
"What?" Tadashi dropped his phone. He had forgotten she was there with him/
"The person your trying so hard not to talk to." Cass smirked.
"Her names June." Tadashi sighed out. He pulled up a picture of her, one without her sunglasses on, and showed it to his aunt.
"Wow," She was shocked by the albino girl. "Like wow. Her eyes...she looks... are you sure there isn't some other girl you like? Not saying she's ugly, but...she's-"
"Aunt Cass, it's not like that." Tadashi shook his head. "She's just a friend. I wanted to ask her a few questions on her field, but I don't want to be a bother either." He half lied. Cass frowned. She hadn't handled herself well. She felt ashamed that she had put the girl down so quickly.
"You should bring her by some time." Cass handed him back his phone. "If she's anything like your brother, she'll need someone to remind her to eat."
"Ha, trust me." Tadashi laughed. "She always makes sure to have everything she could need before starting her work. I'm sure she never forgets to take care of herself." She didn't need anyone. She didn't even need him. He thought to himself. For some reason, he felt slightly disappointed.

She does reach out to him during the middle of the three week break. It was a few words and a small package. It seemed she didn't have a signal where she was. He smiled as he opened the box. Inside was a small toy just like the one he had when he was younger. 'Find this little knight and thought you'd enjoy it.'
"What do you have there?" Hiro asked as he eyed his brother. It almost looked like the older boy was going to cry.
"This little warrior...dad gave me one just like this once." He recalled. "I lost it."
"Where'd you get that than?" Hiro remarked as he took the knight.
"A friend." Tadashi smiled brightly.
"Must be a good friend." Hiro noted. "To recall something as lame as a toy and send it out to you."
"Yeah." Tadashi couldn't take his eyes off the figure. "I'll have to thank you her when she gets back."
"Her? It's a girl?" Hiro snorted. "Wow, she must be ugly or stupid."
"What? Why do you say that?"
"Because, I can't imagine a pretty and smart girl being interested in you." He rolled his eyes.
"Very funny." Tadashi stated dryly. "I'll have you know that she's very pretty."
"What's this?" Cass asked as she entered the room.
"June sent me a package." Tadashi explained.
"Oh, she did." Cass tried to sound pleased, but something was wrong. "Wow, how nice of her. Did she say anything? Like some message that seems strange or snything?"
"Nah, I don't think she's told him that she's in love with him or anything." Hiro snorted. "You okay? You look pale."
"Me? I'm fine." Aunt Cass shouted. "It's not like I'm hiding anything or that the girl isn't human or anything like that. I'm just... I've just been working too hard. You're never around to help."
"I've been helping all week." Tadashi pointed out.
"Yeah, well he doesn't." She pointed to Hiro. "It's so hard and I haven't heard a thank you "
