Heaven Sent
Sid loved Michelle from the moment he saw her. Stood in the middle of the playground dressed in frills, lace and patent shoes, and twirling a lock of hair around her fingertips. Head to toe in snow white, she reminded him of an angel.
On Sid's eighth birthday he spoke to her for the first time. He stumbled over his words, red-faced and trembling, but Michelle didn't laugh. She smiled and kissed his cheek. She would never laugh at him.
Angels were beautiful, special, kind and well thought of. Sid saw all of these things in Michelle. She would always be his angel, heaven sent.
