What up, guys! If you are wondering why I am so enthusiastic, it's because I am currently snowed in and have no school! It is such a rare sight for where I live, so I am taking advantage of my free time and bringing you a snow day inspired story!

Enjoy this short one-shot!
I do not own Ninjago. I only own my OC's.
Lia hadn't felt this rested in a long time. Choir always called her to come early, and she never felt like she got enough sleep. The extra warmth of the sun helped rejuvinate her.
Wait- sunlight?!
Lia looked at the clock, which read 8:46. She was supposed to be at school 2 hours ago! She jumped out of bed and ran down the stairs to the kitchen.
"Mom, why didn't you wake me up? I was supposed to be at school at six. I know you say i need to relax, but-" she was interrupted by the fact that her 13 year old sister in the kitchen working on the stove.
"Kat, what are you doing here?" the 16-year old asked.
"I live here." Kat replied.
Lia rolled her eyes at her sister's snarkyness. "I mean, you were supposed to be at school 15 minutes ago, and you are here, in your pj's, making pancakes. What is going on?"
Kat just smiled. "Look outside!"
Lia did so, eyes widening at the sight.
The entire backyard was covered in white, fluffy snow.
"No way." Lia whispered, her eyes not leaving the window.
"Now do you understand?" Kat asked, her smile turning into a smirk.
"Shut up."
The girls' mother walked into the kitchen. "You girls crack me up. I got the call last night, but you were sleeping so I didn't tell you."
"Can we call the gang to come over?" Kat asked as she turned off the stove.
"I don't see why not. As long as they can get here."
The girls high fived and texted May, Jake, Austin, Timmy, Greenly, and Zora.
While waiting for their friends to show up, Kat and Lia tried to find the winter gear they kept in the back of the garage for days like today, which didn't happen often.
"Lia, where's the sled?"
"In the back of the cabinet where it always is."
Kat reached for the back, but when she got the sled, everything in front of it started falling, but she caught it in time.
"Need any help?"
The sisters turned to see the first onesto arrive: Greenly and Matt Garmadon. They lived the closest to the Brookstones, so it was no surprise that they were here first. Greenly had her snowshoes while Matt had his sled.
"Green! Matt! Welcome to our humble abode!" Lia told them. Kat waved hi, but when she let go of the things she was holding, everything fell and buried her.
"Help?" she asked quietly.
Greenly ran over to help her out, while Matt ran up to Lia, a huge smile on his face.
"You excited about the snow, Matthew?" Lia asked her younger cousin.
"Uh huh! I've never seen this much before!" the 8 year old enthusiastically told her.
The older girl smiled and grabbed her snow supplies before heading heading outside, where two more friends were waiting.
"Hey ladies," Timmy asked as he leaned against the tree.
"Hello, Timothy. Where's Austin? Aren't you boys joined at the hip?" Greenly asked.
Before he could answer, Lia got hit with a snowball from behind. Everyone whipped around to see the "nerd boy" with another snowball in his hands.
"Oh, it's ON, Nerd-man!" Lia gathered snow to throw at Austin, but he ducked out of the way, and it ended up hitting May, who had just arrived with Jake and Zora. Lia instantly regretted it when May sent a glare her way.
"SNOWBALL FIGHT!" Jake shouted, and the snowballs started flying.
It was clear who was against who. Lia immediately ducked to the other side of the backyard, shielding her and Kat with her sled. May and Zora started making a fort while the used Jake as protection against the snowballs. Austin and Timmy were in the center, throwing most of the snowballs. Greenly showed her protective older sister side, shielding Matt from snowballs, especially the ones thrown aggressively by May.
After going at a snowball war for an hour, Matt started building a snowman with Greenly, which prompted everyone to either help or make their own. Kat eventually went in and grabbed various accessories like carrots, coal, and extra winter gear. Soon, there was a group of snowmen in the Brookstone backyard.
"Kids, I made hot cocoa!" Mrs Brookstone shouted from inside.
Even with all the fun they were having, the kids did decide to take a break. Besides, Mrs Brookstone made amazing cocoa.
During the break, the sky opened up again and dumped more snow on the ground, filling in the footprints made by the snowball fight. The kids grinned as they watched more fluffy snow fell.
"So, what do we do tomorrow?" Lia asked the gang, knowing that school would be cancelled again.
Done! Don't you just love snow days?
So, while I struggle to stay warm (I refuse to go outside), I hope you guys enjoyed my snow-day boredom buster.
So until next time, this is Gold Medal Ninja.
