A/N: After listening to covers of Hotline Bling, I was inspired to write my 200th story on this site lol. Also, I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at my latest poll and vote. Thanks in advance! :)
Something was definitely missing in this small town, Londyn mused, as she stared at a couple in the distance. She already knew who they were; as a shoping clerk, you really got to know people, you had the time to study them and memorize their mannerisms.
Still, the shopping clerk had been having this nagging feeling in the pit of her stomach for quite a while now, and it wasn't because she thought that Twilight Town was boring. On the contrary, she actually liked the peace and serenity that this small town offered its inhabitants. She really loved her job too. It was just…
She had been having these weird dreams about a certain spiky-haired boy lately. The dreams were vague and all she remembered was how blue his eyes were and how spiky his sunkissed hair was. Her heart ached, almost as though they had witnessed a bittersweet ending of something together.
Londyn could have sworn that the guy in question had been a regular customer at one point in her life, perhaps one of her favorites (had she not taken a picture with him once?). But if that had been the case, if he really had visited her every other day, then why couldn't she remember him as vividly as the rest of the town? Why was he a scattered dream, or a far-off memory? The harder she tried, the more she seemed to forget. It was almost as though someone had been messing with her memories.
But that was impossible, right?
She guessed that one day, Rucksack (for a lack of a better name) had disappeared mysteriously. As time passed, she stopped remembering bits and pieces of this guy, until only this idea of Rucksack remained; a quiet boy that made her heart skip a beat or two whenever he showed up on his skateboard.
Then, one day, another spiky-haried boy seemed to appear out of the blue, visiting her shop and asking for a lot of highpotion, as if he was getting ready for a battle with his archenemy. No one had archenemies nowadays, but his motives were still questionable.
"Oh, I'm just very clumsy, that's all," he had said, after catching that look on her face.
With shoes like those, Londyn was far from surprised.
R. had been like the sunset; peaceful and serene. This boy was like a lazy afternoon. He had an even brighter smile than R. His heart seemed to radiate happiness to the point it was contagious. His cerulean-colored eyes were brighter than the bluest sky and there was a certain nonchalance about him that made him rather charming, despite the far too big shoes. But the haircolor wasn't right, it was far too dark. This boy was far from quiet too. He was bubbly, vibrant, outgoing.
His name was Sora.
