Tenkai Successor of Evil
Chapter 1 New Villain
I do not own Tenkai Knights. I do however own Devastus, the new girls, and the new corrupted generals. Read, enjoy, review, and pass ideas of what you'd like to see in this.
It's been three years since the defeat of Vilius. The knights are now sixteen, attending high school (including Beni), and have gotten back to normal lives. They still search for Granox and Slyger who have still evaded them somehow all these years. But what they don't know is that even though Vilius was destroyed for good, his power still remains. A new war will soon begin. This war will test the team's trust and reveal secrets they didn't even know about the past or themselves.
On Quarton, night has fallen over the desert where Vilius' crater still remains. The area has remained the same to serve as a symbol of how the knights saved both Earth and Quarton.
Through the sandstorm, a cloaked figure approached the crater and slid down to the bottom center.
"So this is the power father was trying to uncover when mom divorced him. Then they passed and left me and little sis in the family. Unfortunately there can only be one left. Unfortunate for her."
He raised his hand as a purple energy rose from the ground and streamed into his body. His eyes glowed under his hood as he said, "Now to locate my new soldiers."
On Earth, Guren sat beside Ceylan and Beni in Chemistry class. He whispered, "You guys remember what tomorrow is, right?"
Ceylan grinned as he said, "Of course. The anniversary of when we kicked Vilius' can and brought him down for good."
Beni said, "I don't think we'll ever forget that day."
The bell rang and the three left with the other students. The three separated and went to their lockers.
As Guren stopped at his locker, his thoughts began acting up. 'Be prepared, Bravenwolf.'
He turned around thinking someone was behind him. He looked around before turning to shut his locker. He walked to the exit of the school as he thought, 'Wonder what's going on.'
He met with his friends with Gen saying, "Hey Guren. Something on your mind?"
Chooki stepped up and said, "Yeah dude. You look like something's bugging you."
Guren said, "Naw. It's nothing. Let's remember to meet at Mr. White's shop tomorrow and decide what we're gonna do for a celebration."
Gen said, "Wouldn't miss it. Now I've got to go. I got a girl waiting to go out."
Toxsa cringed as he said, "I still can't believe you're dating my sister."
A year after Vilius was defeated; Gen began to develop feelings for Wakamei. He eventually (with some encouragement from Guren and Beni) gained the confidence to ask her out.
Surprisingly, the green-haired girl accepted. They went out that night to get a pizza and see a movie. After walking her home, Gen was surprised to hear that (despite their two year age difference) Wakamei had developed feelings for Gen herself. Since then, the two's relationship has been strong.
Ceylan grinned, "Oh get over it Toxsa. Who knows? Maybe someday you'll be calling him bro-in-law."
The others laughed as Toxsa cringed at the comment before he glared at Ceylan.
After calming down, Gen said, "Anyways, I'll see you guys tomorrow."
With that, the brown haired boy ran off.
Beni said, "I'll see you guys tomorrow."
The pink-haired teen walked off as Chooki said, "I don't know about you guys but Gen's not the only one who has a girl waiting for him. Sally and I have a football game to get to."
Sally is a blonde-haired girl who Chooki met during a soccer game of his first year in high school. They both shared a passion for sports. They started hanging out before they had a date at a basketball game. Since then, they've been together.
Ceylan stated, "Toxsa and I have to go too. Serena and Diana are waiting for our double date."
Serena was Ceylan's girlfriend. She was a violet haired girl who was around his age. She and Ceylan met in their Social Studies class and got together not long after Chooki and Sally.
Diana was Toxsa's girlfriend. She was a dark haired girl who had met Toxsa at a local game convention. They began hanging out a lot after school wherever there were games and began to have feelings for each other. They got together a couple of weeks after Ceylan and Serena.
Guren said, "Okay guys. See you tomorrow."
Toxsa, Chooki, and Ceylan waved as they ran off. Guren began heading home as he thought, 'Still can't believe it's been three years since Vilius was defeated.'
On Quarton, Granox and Slyger sat with what few Corrupted that remained by a fire inside a cave. Slyger shivered as he said, "I can't believe we're reduced to hiding in caves to survive."
Granox said, "To think we were once a part of Lord Vilius' great army. And now we've lost our glory."
"Then it's time to take it back!"
The two stood up to see a cloaked figure standing in the cave entrance.
Granox pointed his axe at the silhouette and asked, "Who are you? What do you want?"
The cloak said, "I want to make a deal."
Slyger lifted his claws and said, "Sorry. Not interested!"
He charged at the cloak and when close enough, Slyger found the cloak holding a double-bladed sword mere centimeters from his throat.
The glare under the cloak caused Slyger to cower as he continued, "You can either listen to my offer. Or I can make sure neither of you see morning."
Slyger backed away as Granox said, "We're listening."
The cloak lowered his blade and said, "Here's the bargain. You two and your fellow Corrupted work for me. And in return, I will give you power that will not only allow you to regain your glory, but also help you match and, with time, possibly destroy the Tenkai Knights!"
The cloaked raised his hands and shot a purple beam that streamed from Slyger and Granox to the other Corrupted.
After a couple of minutes, the cloak stopped as the Corrupted fell to their knees and began glowing purple. The cloak turned to Granox and Slyger and said, "Wait overnight to let your bodies accept the power. By morning, we will attack the Corekai to draw out the knights. I want to see what they're made of. Now rest."
The two nodded and did as the cloak said.
The next day on Earth, Guren just walked into Mr. White's shop to see Toxsa, Chooki, Ceylan, and Gen. He looked around and asked, "Where's Beni?"
Gen said, "She and Wakamei are getting Serena, Diana, and Sally."
Before anyone else could say anything, the boys felt their core brick glowing. Guren said, "Let's go see if we can finally catch Granox and Slyger."
The others nodded as Gen turned to Mr. White and Mr. Nash and said, "Let the girls know where we are." The two adults nodded before the five boys ran to the transporter and loaded their bricks.
"Tenkai Power!"
"Tenkai Speed!"
"Tenkai Strength!"
"Tenkai Agility!"
"Tenkai Strategy!" (this is property of Hamm-Ram)
They transformed and called their name:
"Bravenwolf: Tenkai Firestorm! Engage!"
"Tributon: Tenkai Iceblast! Engage!"
"Valorn: Tenkai Terrablast! Engage!"
"Lydendor: Tenkai Lightningstrike! Engage!"
"Dromus: Tenkai Whirlwind! Engage!"
"TENKAI KNIGHTS! GO!"
The five ran to meet with Beaug as Dromus asked, "What's the situation, Beaug?"
Beaug said, "Something strange has happened. Not only have their numbers somehow increased. But they appear to have a new leader. He's given them some kind of new power."
Bravenwolf asked, "What do you mean?"
"He means me!"
The knights looked across the battlefield to see the cloak standing with Granox and Slyger. He grabbed his cloak and threw it off to reveal black knight with a helmet that had teeth on the front above the eyes, a back plate similar to Tributon's, a double bladed sword in his right hand, and a spiked shield in his left. He stepped forward and said, "I am Devastus. And you five shall fall by my blades."
He raised his sword as the sky became covered in clouds. A strike of purple lightning struck his sword before he aimed and fired a powerful, purple beam at half of the Corekai army.
After the smoke cleared, the knights were shocked to see there wasn't a single trace of Corekai left. Dromus stuttered, "H-he took out half the Corekai with one blast."
Bravenwolf turned to their general and said, "Beaug! Pull back the remaining Corekai and let us take this guy. We don't wanna risk losing more."
Beaug nodded and said, "Corekai! Fall back!"
As the remaining soldiers retreated, the five slid down and ran to the middle of the battlefield. Bravenwolf pointed his sword and shouted, "Devastus! Come down here and face us yourself. No Corekai. No Corrupted. Just you and us."
Devastus stayed silent for a few seconds before turning to Granox and said, "Pull back the Corrupted. I want to see what these knights can do."
Granox bowed as he said, "As you command Lord Devastus. Corrupted! Pull back!"
The Corrupted army did as ordered as Slyger said, "They're all yours."
Devastus made a long jump and landed a few yards away from the knights. He raised his sword and said, "Let us begin."
Tributon walked forward and said, "I'll handle this guys."
He charged at Devastus while firing arrow after arrow. Devastus stood there, deflecting each shot with his sword. When Tributon reached him, he tried to hit Devastus with his shield. Devastus dodged the hit before sending the blue knight mid-air with a punch to the stomach and sent him sliding on the ground with a cyclone kick.
Valorn said, "Let's go Lydendor. It's our turn."
Lydendor said, "Right behind you."
Dromus said, "Count me in."
The three charged at the enemy knight who turned towards them.
Devastus separated his double blade into two swords before connecting them at their hilts, making a staff. Valorn met him first and began striking with his spear only to have each blow blocked by Devastus' weapon.
Unfortunately for Valorn, Devastus managed to find an opening where he struck the green knight in the side before kneeing him in the stomach and throwing him into a near-by boulder.
He then made his staff into a double blade again which he then used to block Lydendor's flail. He threw his shield to the ground in order to snatch Lydendor's flail. Lydendor then felt his own weapon wrap around his neck before he was thrown to the ground beside Tributon.
Devastus then dodged a swing from Dromus' sword and used Lydendor's flail to trip him. He punched Dromus in the face, grabbed him by the helmet, slam him to the ground, and sent him beside Valorn with a back kick.
The black knight then turned to Bravenwolf and said, "Now for you."
Bravenwolf took a stance before the two charged each other while jumping. Devastus grabbed the red knight by the throat before slamming him to the ground and stomped on his stomach.
Bravenwolf managed to recover in time to move his head to dodge Devastus' sword and managed to block another strike with his sword. Devastus then grabbed him by the leg and threw him into a boulder.
Devastus said, "I was expecting more of a challenge."
The knights rose to their feet and Bravenwolf said, "Well then try this on for size."
"Bravenwolf: Tenkai Firestorm Titan Mode! Engage!"
"Tributon: Tenkai Iceblast Titan Mode! Engage!"
"Valorn: Tenkai Terrablast Titan Mode! Engage!"
"Lydendor: Tenkai Lightningstrike Titan Mode! Engage!"
"Dromus: Tenkai Whirlwind Titan Mode! Engage!"
The five transformed and landed in front of Devastus as Valorn asked, "What you got to say now?"
Devastus said, "I'm not impressed."
"Devastus: Chaos Tenkai Titan Mode! Engage!"
He folded up and grew in size as spiked armor pieces appeared around him. He unfolded and the armor attached to him. A back plate similar to Lydendor's attached to his back while a helmet went over his head piece. A velociraptor head attached to his chest and roared. A double bladed sword appeared in his hand.
He landed in front of the knights as he said, "Don't think your elemental powers will help you."
Bravenwolf said, "Let's test that theory."
With that, all five charged towards Devastus.
Devastus split his blade and blocked both Valorn and Dromus' attacks before striking them both in the sides and kicking them to the ground. He turned to see Tributon attempt a close range shot with his crossbow. Devastus dodged the shot before using a double knuckle to send the blue titan into Bravenwolf.
Bravenwolf then watched as Devastus brought his swords down on him only for Lydendor to block him with his shield. Lydendor pushed forward and tried to slash Devastus while Tributon ran to join the brawl. Devastus effortlessly dodged the attacks until he found the opening to send them to the ground beside Dromus and Valorn with a torso kick.
Devastus turned to see Bravenwolf getting up and brought his swords down. Thinking quickly, the red knight blocked with his sword before attempting a strike. Devastus dodged before sending the leader to his team with a back kick. He watched as the knights struggled to their feet and said, "This is what Vilius fell to. Pathetic!"
Valorn said, "Much as I hate to admit it, he's driving us down without even trying."
Bravenwolf said, "I've got one idea. It's crazy but also our only shot."
Dromus asked, "What do you have in mind?"
Bravenwolf said, "If we combine our elemental attacks together, we might be able to take him out."
Tributon said, "It's worth a shot. Let's do it!"
The five stood as their weapons began to glow.
"Tenkai Titan Firesword!"
"Tenkai Titan Iceblast!"
"Tenkai Titan Terrablast!"
"Tenkai Titan Lightningstrike!"
"Tenkai Titan Whirlwind!"
Their attacks combined before it hit Devastus, creating a cloud of dust. Lydendor said, "Looks like that did it."
However, after the dust cleared, the knights were shocked to see Devastus was still standing despite being injured. Tributon stuttered, "H-he took all five attacks and is still standing."
Devastus chuckled and said, "Impressive. Now it's my turn."
He raised his sword as it began to glow purple.
"Tenkai Titan Dark Matter Strike!"
Devastus swung his weapon and sent a dark matter blast at the knights. On contact, the force of the blast scattered the knights and landed them on their backs.
Devastus walked up to Bravenwolf and put his foot on the red knight's chest. "Time to end this." He pointed his sword at Bravenwolf, "Starting with you." He raised his sword as the other knights watched in horror.
Suddenly, a pink beam shot Devastus' weapon out of his hand. The evil knight turned to see Venetta holding a smoking spider gun. She twirled her daggers as she said, "Hey boys. Is this a guys only fight or can the girls get in?" She then charged at Devastus at her fast speed.
Devastus retrieved his sword from the ground just in time to block the pink knightess' daggers. He then threw his fist only for her dodge before using her webbing to evade a kick. She turned to her titan enemy and said, "Let's see you keep up."
With that she vanished.
Devastus' sword began to glow as he said, "Please."
He swung his sword and sent a blast that hit Venetta right when she reappeared.
The knightess slammed to the ground with a grunt. She looked up to see Devastus standing over her. He looked down on her as he said, "I was going to save you for last. But if this is all you can do." He lifted his sword and Venetta closed her eyes as he brought his weapon down.
Venetta waited for the blade, but after a few seconds she opened her eyes to gasp in shock.
Bravenwolf was kneeling with his back to her and Devastus' blade buried deep in his shoulder.
In a flash, Bravenwolf reverted out of titan mode and landed in front of Venetta.
Before Devastus could do anything, a blue energy beam shot by his face. He turned to see the other four knights charging at him. He lifted his sword and rushed to meet them.
Venetta ran over and held Bravenwolf up in her lap as she asked, "Are you alright? Why did you do something so stupid?"
Bravenwolf looked at her and said, "I'm alright. Besides, I just couldn't let him finish you. You're my friend."
"Bravenwolf?" Venetta held him in her lap as she clenched his hand.
Suddenly, Venetta began to glow. She looked at her hand asking, "What's going on?"
Her tenkai computer began explaining, "Tenkai Energy systems upgraded. Venetta: Tenkai Titan Mode now accessible."
Beaug ran over and helped Bravenwolf to his feet before turning to the pink knightess. "Venetta. I'll get Bravenwolf to cover. You must go and help the others." Venetta nodded and said, "Time to go titan. Venetta: Tenkai Titan Mode! Engage!"
(Play theme song) Venetta folded and grew in size as pink armor pieces appeared around her. She unfolded with the armor attaching to her arms, legs, and waist. A larger version of her back plate attached to her back before her helmet attached to her head piece. Finally, a spider head attached to her chest before grabbing and twirling larger versions of her daggers and saying, "Time for a little extra girl power."
Devastus held Dromus up by his throat with his weapon ready as he said, "I was going to finish Bravenwolf first but you'll do."
Suddenly, Venetta appeared and kicked Devastus to the ground. He rose to his feet only to have a purple web wrap completely around him. He looked up to see Venetta's daggers charging.
Venetta raised her daggers and said, "Time to bring the sting. Tenkai Titan Venom Charge!"
And with that, she stabbed her daggers into the ground and hit Devastus with a stream of electrified venom.
Devastus fell to the ground as Granox and Slyger ran to his sides. Slyger asked, "Are you injured Lord Devastus?" Devastus rose to his feet as he said, "I'm fine. Have the soldiers retreat. I've seen all I need to today."
Granox said, "As you command Lord Devastus. Corrupted! Retreat!"
After Devastus' forces retreated, the knights returned to Earth where they found Mr. White, Mr. Nash, Wakamei, Serena, Sally, and Diana waiting. Beni was supporting Guren as she turned to Gen, "You guys fill them in. I'll treat Guren's wound."
Gen nodded and led Guren to another room.
Sally walked up to Chooki and asked, "What happened?"
Toxsa said, "Granox and Slyger have a new master that drove us to the ground without even trying."
Mr. Nash asked, "A new corrupted leader? How is that possible?"
"I can explain that."
They all turned to see the hologram of Guardian Boreas.
Ceylan walked up and asked, "What's the deal dude? We finally manage to bring Vilius down three years ago, and you guys go and make another hostile, power-crazed maniac?"
Boreas said, "He is not a creation of ours, Tributon."
Serena stepped beside her boyfriend asking, "What do you mean?"
The guardian said, "As impossible as it may sound, he's not from Quarton. Like you, he's actually from here on Earth."
Gen said, "But where did he come from? And more importantly, who is he?"
Boreas said, "Questions that even we guardians don't have the answers to. However, I have even more grave news."
Mr. Nash asked, "What would that be?"
Boreas said, "When you destroyed Vilius, we recently found out half of his power remained. When Devastus first appeared, he absorbed it and combined it with his power over dark matter. By doing this, Devastus has achieved a power we had hoped would never return. Tenkai Chaos Mode!"
Mr. White said, "Anything but that!"
Chooki asked, "What's the big deal Mr. White? What's Tenkai Chaos Mode?"
The shop owner said, "For every great power, there is an equal and an opposite. For every good, an equally powerful evil."
Toxsa said, "Spit it out already!"
Wakamei popped her brother on the head and said, "Think for a second Toxsa. They're saying Devastus' chaos mode is just as powerful as your elemental modes while also being the exact opposite."
White said, "Exactly Wakamei. However, we have no idea on how to stop it."
Boreas said, "Indeed old friend. The guardians shall consult on this matter. As for you all, get some rest. You need your strength to overcome what is yet to come."
With that said, Boreas vanished.
Mr. Nash said, "He's right. You all go out and enjoy the rest of your day and then get some rest. If anything happens, Mr. White or I will contact you."
Gen said, "If you say so." The knights then walked out of the room with their girlfriends beside them.
White turned to Nash and said, "I had hoped this time would never come."
Nash said, "I know how you feel. Looks like we'll tell them about what happened and that Devastus might be who we think he is."
White said, "We need to go over what has happened since that day to be sure. Let's look for all the information we can find and decide from there."
Nash nodded and walked out of the room.
Mr. White turned to the portal and thought, 'Please let us be wrong. Just to spare the pain.'
With Beni and Guren, (This was happening between the conversation.) Guren was sitting on the couch while Beni sewed a deep wound on his shoulder. Turns out that Devastus' power was so strong, it managed to leave a wound from Quarton. Beni finished and began wrapping it with plaster.
Once Beni finished, she looked at the red-haired teen and said, "Thanks for what you did for me."
Guren smiled and said, "You're my friend. I'd do anything to protect you and the others."
Guren then noticed Beni had an uneasy look on her face. "What's wrong Beni?"
The pinkette looked at the floor and said, "It's just… for some reason I felt a strange feeling towards Devastus. It was like he knew me or something."
Before either could say anything else, Toxsa walked in and said, "Come on guys. We're heading to the diner to get some good. We'll fill you in on the way."
Guren put his shirt on and the two followed the green-haired teen.
On Quarton, Devastus sat in Vilius' old throne inside a fully restored chamber as Granox and Slyger stood before him.
Slyger asked, "What is our next plan of attack Lord Devastus?"
Devastus looked at them, "I will explain it tomorrow. Until then, I want you two to become acquainted with my generals."
Two portals opened in front of him as he pulled out two core bricks, one brown and one black. He threw each one into a portal. "Triascus! Venomark! Rise!"
Out of the portals jumped two new tenkai warriors. Triascus was the black one with armor that represented a triceratops (use your imagination). He held a shield like Granox' and held a mace.
The brown one, Venomark, stood with armor that represented a snake. He had no shield and held two shurikens.
The two bowed as Venomark asked, "What do you request of us, Lord Devastus?"
Devastus said, "I want you to become partners with Granox and Slyger while I figure out how to proceed with my plan."
The four bowed, "As Lord Devastus commands!"
The four left the chamber as Devastus turned his throne. 'Prepare yourselves knights, because I won't fail where Vilius did. I will destroy you.'
