Don't own Big Bang Theory, mainly a test to see if I can do this through my tablet and if I want to put that much energy into it.
Leonard walked down the halls of Cal-Tech in a state of shock, mainly because he didn't get the job, but mostly because who did. Now a little history might be in order, almost ten years ago he got married and Sheldon disappeared, apparently he and Amy had broken up. Though that thought gave him pause, not Sheldon but the fact he had been married, five years.
This was all mattered because he wasn't becoming the head of the physics department, he was so distraught that he nearly ran into Amy. Now for her part she had quickly gotten over Sheldon. His lose and all that.
"Did you hear about Sheldon?"
Amy raised an eyebrow, "No, and nor do I care."
"Apparently he is the new department head…"
Amy short of tuned Leonard out, a bit of shock over took her. Not that she missed him or cared, she had plenty of other boyfriends. In fact she had one now, and for some reason felt the need to inform Sheldon of such a fact. It was to let him know where he stood.
It took a moment for Leonard to realize Amy wasn't really paying attention, "Guess you have a lot to think about"
He walked off as Amy sort of grunted and headed in the opposite direction, his hand brushed his pocket. This would be something Penny would want to know, she had completely blocked him off. Apparently finding that easier then changing numbers like Sheldon did. Of course he tried reaching either through their families at the time to no avail.
It wasn't that hard for Amy to figure out when Sheldon would be taking the department chair, though the fact they weren't hiring from within was a bit confusing and certainly caused a bit of ire. Then again Sheldon would be the logical choice. She walked down the hall, with her heels clacking against the floor. She knew when their now former boss would be out for the moment, old habits and all. But then she heard Sheldon's voice, he was talking to someone. Amy sighed, perhaps their boss hadn't left yet. She rounded the corner into the office, not really paying any attention to the conversation.
Amy started, " Sheldon…."
She stopped, this was unexpected. Sheldon was there, after all she just heard his voice. No, what was surprising was two things. One, was the dirty bond women sitting in the chair opposite the desk Sheldon was standing behind. The other was they both were already looking at her, a small smile on the woman's face. Amy realized they had stopped talking a moment before she entered the room.
Sheldon smiled, "Dr. Fowler it is considered polite to address correctly and less formality. Dr. Copper if you please."
Amy stared as Sheldon continued, "Is there something I can help you with?"
The woman smiled, "Oh is this the notorious little girl who dumped you right when you were going to propose, after pushing for more?"
Amy's heart flipped, what…Sheldon spoke, "yes"
Amy had to wet her dried lips, and the woman continued, " I imagine she is here to tell you she is quite over you and had a boyfriend, had several in fact."
The woman glanced at the clock, "Of course she is not. In fact she came first thing in the morning and conveniently when she presumed you were alone. And the look of shock on her face when she saw me. No, little girl your not fine."
Sheldon watched the women before turning to Amy, "Dr. Fowler, may I introduce Mrs. Cooper. My wife…I suppose that might seem redundant."
Astrid, as that was Mrs. Cooper's name smiled, "I think a bit of reinforcement is needed.
So there is a test. Please don't expect much. Hope you like or dislike, whatever.
