Prologue

"Beep Beep Beep Beep."

I woke up, exhausted, and, annoyed, pressed snooze on my alarm clock to stop that deafening, loud noise. My eyes are red from soreness. 7:00 AM in the morning. Tired, I got out of bed and put on my fuzzy slippers. I hauled myself to the stairs, then the kitchen. I opened the cereal cupboard and looked at the flavors. Honey bunches of oats or Frosted flakes? No competition. I reached for the Honey bunches and got myself a striped, green bowl. It's round and bumpy, and has always been my favourite bowl. As I opened the fridge to get the white milk, a freezing wave of air floated over me. I shivered as I closed the silver fridge door. A sudden swarm of goosebumps covered my arms and legs, and the hair on my neck stood up. I sat down and munched the cold cereal.

With a bit more energy, I put away my plate and cereal then headed up a flight of stairs to have a refreshing shower. By the time I was out, it was 7:25 AM. I went and got dressed. I picked out khaki shorts, a green Tommy Hilfiger polo, and grabbed my bag. Class started at 8:00 AM sharp. I put my homework in, grabbed my silver, new iPhone from its white charger and put on some brown, leathery sandals. I opened my huge garage, and then walked to get in my grey Toyota Prius, and drove to NYC, which is New York Collegiate. It's my 3rd year at the high school now. I turn on the car and hear that nice vroom vroom.

As I am driving, I look in the passenger seat, and a beat up rose and letter were there. I looked at them, vaguely remembering the incident that happened yesterday. Could they still be here? After that car crash? I can still remember the scream of my past girlfriend before the incident where she died, and the one before. And the past ten. Every girl is another accident. They die, but out of every incident, I survive. But ever since yesterday, I'm down to my last life. Since yesterday, I'm down to my last petal on the rose that is my life.
