Edward's point of veiw:

My phone has been vibrating for the last two days now. I turned off my phone. Then I froze. What if it was Carlisle? What if they needed my help? I needed a distraction- a worthless attempt- from the beautiful face that has been filling my head.

I turned the phone back on. It vibrated AGAIN. I looked at the ID. Why would Rosalie be calling me? I pushed the send botton anyway.

"What Rosalie?"

"Oh! Look who learned how to answer the phone! I'm impre-"

I hung up the phone. And soon enough it vibrated again.

"What? Whatever you want to say, say it," I growled.

"Well," she began, "did you know Alice is in Forks?"

I went silent. She promised she would stay away from her. Maybe because she gave in maybe i could... NO!! I promised her peace and that's what i'll give her. I could just check... just to get Alice... NO! UGH! GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!

"Edward? Are you still there?" she asked suddenly nervous. Nervous? Why?

I growled.

"Oh good! Well we can go back now so you don't have to be angry with Alice."

She moved? Where? To her mother? Good she should be with the sunshine. When I couldn't.

"Why would you be calling me for two days to tell me that Bella" -It was still hard to say her name- "moved?"

"Well, she didn't actually move..." she said nervous again. "Edward... she's dead. Edward, she jumped off a cliff two days ago-" I hung up the phone.

How? How? NO! SHE'S LYING! NO! I'll call her. If SHE answers I'll hang up. I kept on thinking the same words over and over again. I just sat there in a tight ball for a long time withering, ripping, breaking it felt like. I looked at my phone. I dialed the phone number I promised I would never call again and pushed send.

"Swan residence," a husky voice answered.

"This is Dr. Carlisle Cullen, can I speak to Charlie?" I mimicked my father's voice perfectly.

"He's not here," the voice was almost a snarl.

"Where is he?"

The voice paused like he was hesitating on giving me this information. "He's at the funeral," the voice said finally. My fingers felt cold as the ripping, shredding, magling, cutting, stinging pain attacked my heart. Leaving nothing there in it's place.

I shut the phone.
