Chapter One: Corruption

When we finally believe that we have removed evil from this world we have become corrupt. When we believe that evil is just one person controlling the lesser evil and that once the main evil is destroyed, that evil is destroyed we have become corrupt. When we fight with remorse when we kill those that killed our family and friends, we have become corrupt. All of these things have happened to Link. Three years after Ganon was defeated and Midna returned to her world, Link decided to retire from being a hero and let the police do what they should be doing. Life was good for Link. He had settled down with Zelda and they had gotten married and had a child whom they named Damien. At certain times Link would break up a fight or beat up a criminal saying that there was a psychological problem with them and they needed help. Within one day on the beginning of the third year of Link's retirement came news from the King. A man wearing tights and a blue overcoat knocked on Link and Zelda's door.
"Link, I have a message from the King."
"Lets hear it" Replied Link.
"The King requests that you come to the Castle immediately for a meeting. You have officially been pulled out of retirement and must come prepared for a mission."
This was the day Link had been dreading for three years. As much as he repulsed the idea of reclaiming his place in the title of "Hero". The only reason the king would request Link was if evil had been brought into this world. Except in Link's mind evil had been destroyed forever. It seemed oddly strange that he did not repulse the idea of returning to helping the world get rid of evil. Maybe Zelda was right. Maybe Link had become corrupt with the need to rid the world of every and any evil. It seemed as though Link believed that the only way he could be at peace is if he saved the world on his own. Corruption can happen to anyone if they get indulged in something to much. It was time for Link to reclaim his place as the Hero of Hyrule and he was ready. He was ready to be better and smarter then before.
"Im ready" He muttered to himself before he walked over to his bed, pulled out a suitcase and removed his green clothing that defined him. Corruption was still in his mind but Link would not know that until the time came to decide. No one really knows how much corruption can hurt the ones you love until you realize your corrupt and the damage has been dealt.
Almost instantly after Link put on the outfit he became a merciless killer. His thoughts were suddenly darker then ever.
"No more shall evil walk over this land. For if I see anything or anyone committing an evil deed or practicing anything related to evil, I shall cut their heads off without asking questions. I must be more ruthless then ever if I am to defeat this evil this time. Even if it means hurting the ones I love."
An evil grin spread across Link's face as he put on his hat, walked out the door and shut it. This was the beginning of the latest fight of Good VS Evil. Or has it turned into a fight of who can be the greater evil? Unless Link realizes his corruption power and greater evil may be exactly what this fight will be about.
