Bright Burning Balls of Fire, Bright Burning Balls of Flame

Bright burning balls of fire, bright burning balls of flame;
Power that made "Hakkai" so much more than just a name.
But with power comes some price, and with price comes some loss,
And I lost all I ever had and gained my fangs and claws.

This power I had not wanted; this power came unsought,
For as I slew the demons, this power I had not thought.
But ah, when the sunlight came, with the red dawn then I could see
That the blood of a thousand demons had already fallen upon me.

And so I had fought for nothing, for the cause of my life still died:
With tears streaming on her face she had plunged a knife on her side.
So there lay dead my new bride, and here was this new power
Of a man with such great sin that t'was a demon that left the tower.

Bright burning balls of fire, bright burning balls of flame-
Bright burning balls of ire, bright burning balls of shame
Was what had come across my mind when I took my first aim,
For as far as I then knew, my life would never be the same.
