Shinji's Reality Funhouse: Harem Life

By: Afro Logic

Day 1: Affection Overload

"It's my choice to decide how I wish my reality to be?" Shinji asked with eyes half dazed as his head laid gently in Rei's lap. They were both naked within the infinite ocean of LCL which engulfed the world, leaving nothing but the two of them left in human form. Rei simply looked down, returning Shinji's words with a smile and an affectionate nod as her fingers brushed through his hair.

"Correct. Reality is for you to shape in any way that you wish. Any desire you have will become your new reality," Rei's lifeless words drifted into Shinji's ears. He sighed heavily, turning his frame so that he was looking up at Rei, their eyes meeting with a smile.

"Is there a way...to see what other realities are like, before I decide on one?" Shinji said, his face lightly blushing as Rei let out a small giggle.

"That is a freedom that you possess. Right now you are the architect of life," Rei replied. It was all so crazy; the third impact wiped out all life, causing it all to return to where it once was born. To think that he and EVA Unit 1 were the catalyst for such an event upset Shinji, but knowing now that he could reshape reality in his own image that he wished, it gave Shinji a reason to exist and a new hope to grasp onto.

"I think I know what I want to try first..." Shinji said, his body completely relaxing to the point of being unable to move. Rei then gently placed her hand over his eyes, gently humming until everything faded to black.

"Shinji, it's time to wake up. Breakfast is ready," the sounds of a familiar voice wafted through the air like a soft spring breeze. Although Shinji's ears picked up on the familiar voice, he let out a disgruntled groan of rebellion, throwing his covers over his head. Footsteps slowly approached his door, the sliding sound of it clacking against the end of its track before the foot steps moved towards him.

"Wake up sleepy head," the familiar, chipper voice gently poked his ears. The place where his head was began to shake back and fourth, another muffled groan making itself through the covers. Instead of an expected growl of annoyance and tossing of his comforter, instead he was presented with a soft, seductive giggle as a body gently pressed against his. His face grew warm as she rubbed over his body, slowly crawling over him until finally removing the comforter from his head. His eyes locked with the eyes of Misato Katsuragi, who was now grinning like a deviant. Shinji flinched in a fit of panic, but was forced down by his shoulders. Shinji's face lit on fire as Misato's lips pressed to his, a small fit of laughter coming from within her mouth. Shinji gazed, entranced by Misato; in an attempt to slide his tongue through his lips, he instead looked like an idiot as Misato immediately rose off of him, dragging the comforter completely off of him.

"That's all you get for now Shinji, now get up and get dressed for school. If you're good, maybe we can do more later," Misato let out a seductive laugh as she walked out of his door.

"W-What that just happen?!" Shinji said in a fit of confusion, now running his fingers over his lips in surprise, his face still warm from the confrontation.

"That was...very nice though. I wonder what she meant by doing more later...ugh there's no time to think about it right now, I'll be late for school," Shinji said to himself quietly as he rose up. From outside his door, ruffling and rummaging grew louder as he desperately shifted through all of his clothes to find a clean set of his uniform. Finally piecing it all together, Shinji slid his door open and made his way into the main room. To his surprise, it wasn't a complete pigsty, with the floor being swept clean and all carpets being vacuumed. His eyes grew insecure as he watched Misato cook breakfast but his expression then grew confused when he noticed she was in nothing but an apron. His face continued to wear a dumbfounded stare as Misato hummed about, cooking his breakfast in her own little world.

"You're never this up and going in the morning Misato, is there a reason you're making breakfast and everything?" Shinji inquired, trying to calm his teenage nerves as a small laugh came from her once again.

"What're you talking about Shinji? I'm always up early making breakfast for you," Misato said with a smile, causing Shinji to smile as well. He sat and averted his eyes from her to not being caught in a stare, primarily moving around the room then at his plate. Misato then laid a plate of eggs and rice, which were very well presented with a divine smell that Shinji would've never expected. Misato grabbed a pair of chopsticks off the table and grabbed a hold of one of the rolls of egg, gently blowing on it before raising it to Shinji's nervous lips.

"Open wide and tell me what you think," Misato said with a smirk. Shinji took a nervous gulp before opening up his mouth, Misato gently pushing the sustenance into his mouth. Shinji clasped his his teeth on the chopsticks, which Misato slid out so that he could chew his finely prepared food. Taking a moment to reflect on the taste, he was taken by surprise by its flavor.

"Wow! This is incredible Misato," Shinji said smiling up at her. Shinji's inability to regulate his facial temperature caused it to steam as the heat from the egg and the taste of Misato's lips gently to his again. She caressed his cheek then pulled up a chair to sit beside him as he chowed down on the awesome breakfast before him.

"Um...Misato...why are you sitting so close to me...?" Shinji said, lifting his bowl of rice to shovel some into his mouth. Misato gently rubbed her arm against his as she made a small pouting face.

"Don't you like it when I sit next to you like this?" Misato asked, causing Shinji to stiffen up.

"I-I do! I eh...um...oh crap look at the time!" Shinji said as he munched down the rest of his breakfast. Shinji did his best to evade any more of the awkward advances of his parental figure, quickly hopping up from his seat and dashing to the door.

"I put your lunch in your bag so you wouldn't be late, can't wait til you get home Shinji," Misato said with a wink, causing Shinji to smile before throwing open the door and leaping out into the fresh air.

"What is her deal? Is she drunk or something?!" Shinji questioned to himself, smacking the side of his face to snap himself out of his warm stupor. Shinji charged for the stair, dashing down them at a neck breaking pace to try and shift his train of thought onto school instead of Misato. To his surprise, it was much harder than he thought it would be, causing him to shake his head more than a few times. As he reached the bottom he came to a screeching halt, as another familiar face was awaiting him. Rei was softly blushing and smiling at Shinji, while leaning against the railing.

"Oh Rei, good morning," Shinji said cheerfully. Rei smiled wide, shifting herself to his side to latch her arms around his. Shinji's heat sensors went off again as Rei nuzzled the side of her cheek against his shoulder.

"Good morning Ikari..." Rei said meekly as the two of them continued on towards the school. It was if Rei was glued to him as they hoofed it to their destination, making a little difficult to move at times.

"Um...Rei, is there a reason your clenching onto me so hard?" Shinji finally grew the courage to ask, causing her to flinch and to immediately let go of him like he was hot lava.

"I-I'm sorry...I-I thought you would like it if I held onto your arm..." Rei replied in a slight panic. Shinji's weird-o-meter shifted into the red as he stared at the cute, nervous Rei that was at his side. Shinji sighed gently then smiled at Rei, lacing his fingers with hers as he lovingly took her hand.

"Holding hands is fine though," Shinji said with a wide, confused smile. Rei's eyes lit up with joy as she grasped onto it, their grip on one another being as solid as cement all the way to school. Seeing Rei like this was a nice change of pace for Shinji, heck, Rei showing any emotions at all was a heart warming sight. As they approached the school, Rei began to shake nervously, letting go of his hand after bowing to him respectfully before proceeding in. Looking around he found a rather irritated looking Asuka leaning up against the school gate, her eyes glaring at his as he approached.

"Oh...um...good morning Asuka," Shinji said, trying to remain cheerful from his fluttering heart for Rei. Asuka sighed heavily, scowling as if he had committed the worst of carnal sins.

"What the hell was that about?" Asuka growled, pointing to Rei's back as he hustled through the gate. Shinji scratched the back of his head with a nervous laugh.

"Oh that, that was nothing, I guess she was uh...just scared to come to school alone," Shinji said, averting eye contact from the devil before him. Asuka sighed in discontent, shaking her head as she forcibly snatched up his hand, dragging him through the gate by force.

"If I ever see you with that girl again I'll be forced to get rough with the both of you even if we aren't dating," Asuka snarled. Shinji could tell that Asuka was more hurt than angry with him; having lived with her for many years before the third impact, he was able to start picking up on her feelings to action ratios. Shinji hustled up to Asuka's side, giving her hand an affectionate squeeze.

"I'm sorry Asuka, I'll try to be more careful," Shinji said. Asuka sighed and smiled faintly, pecking his cheek with her lips before letting go of his hand.

"That's all I ask, come on, we'll be late if we lollygag any further," Asuka replied with a faint smile as the two of them waltzed in through the door. Shinji looked around, noticing that it was no different than he had remembered; it was this fact that gave him a small bit of relief. However, Shinji suffered a shock to his system the moment he stepped into class, seeing a familiar face that he thought he'd never see ever again. Kaworu turned his head and smiled lovingly as Shinji stepped foot inside the classroom. Tears filled Shinji's eyes as he ran around the desks, immediately wrapping his arms around him without hesitation. Kaworu gave him a few blank blinks of his eyes with a soft blush filling his cheeks.

"Is everything OK Shinji? Your acting like I've been dead or something..." Kaworu said gently patting Shinji on the back. Shinji began to wipe his eyes clear of tears, forgetting that this was a new world.

"I-I'm sorry...it just feels like forever since I've seen you," Shinji said pulling it together. Kaworu smirked as he looked past Shinji, an angry Asuka stomping into the room and plopping down into her chair at her desk. Kaworu moved Shinji off of him and let out a hardy laugh.

"You never cease to humor me. We saw each other yesterday, don't you remember?" Kaworu chuckled, Shinji's face growing pale from his lack of knowledge.

"Y-Yeah that's right, I can't believe I forgot eh heh," Shinji said nervously, moving to his desk that sat next to Kaworu's. Shinji turned his gaze to the windows where Rei was lightly smiling at him, giving him a small, shy wave before returning her gaze to the front. Shinji looked at the door as Kensuke, Touji and Hikari walked in, completing his small schooling family. Hikari broke off from the two of guys and walked over to Shinji, tapping on his desk to gain his attention.

"Good morning Shinji, how are you feeling today?" Hikari asked. Never in the past had Shinji ever really spoken to Hikari outside of her calling him, Touji and Kensuke morons from time to time. Shinji simply smiled and continued eye contact to hide his dysfunction.

"I'm feeling fine Hikari, thanks for asking. How are you feeling?" Shinji replied. Hikari lightly blushed and smiled as she averted her eyes from his.

"I'm...doing great, thank you. Pay attention in class today alright? I know how you like to day dream," Hikari said with a small laugh before leaving his side.

"This is really weird...I'm not used to this much attention..." Shinji said to himself quietly as the instructor walked in. Class went on as usual, as if nothing had ever changed which again gave Shinji a sigh of relief. Instead of being bored by class, he felt good, doing everything that he was told to do when it came to reading out lines from his text book. As nice as it felt being in a normal classroom, Shinji slowly grew pale as he came to a strange realization.

"Wait...if everyone is showing me this much attention...what's going to happen to me at lunch...?" Shinji pondered, his eyes moving around the room. Each and every one of the girls made eye contact, leaving his nerves to wonder. The very moment that the bell rang to signify the end of class, after standing an bowing, Shinji took off like the wind out of the classroom, avoiding any future conflicts that may erupt.

"This is nuts!" Shinji said as he stormed down the hall, unsure of what the hell to do with himself. A yellow sign in the hall with the words "Caution, Slippery" managed to catch his attention a bit too late as Shinji felt his feet sweep out from beneath him, sending him to the floor with a loud thud. Shinji's head hit the floor first, causing his consciousness to leave him in an instant. Some time passed before Shinji's eyes reopened, this time finding himself in the nurses office with a bandage on his head and a nice, soft bed beneath him.

"Ugh...OW" Shinji yelped as he sat up, a painful headache sucker punching the side of his head. Shinji placed a hand to the side of his head as a pair of wide bottom heels approached him. Coming to view, Shinji's eyes were now gazing into those of Ritsuko Akagi, which he quickly assumed was the nurse of the school.

"You took a nasty fall Shinji, you should rest your head more...here, let me fluff your pillow, I think its a bit flat," Ritsuko said with a grin, slowly walking to the head of the small medical bed. Shinji stayed up as Ritsuko rummaged in his pillow, softening it up to be more comfortable for him. Ritsuko then placed a hand behind his head, using her other to gently press on his chest to help him lay back comfortably.

"T-Thanks Dr. Akagi..." Shinji said, wincing in pain as he turned his head. Ritsuko had a gaze that was similar to that of Misato this morning as she gazed into his eyes. He took a nervous gulp as she gently leaned in on him.

"Let me check your temperature," Ritsuko said, slowly pressing her forehead to his. The pleasant, intoxicating smell of her perfume caused Shinji to blush, her eyes seductively gazing into his with a grin. She gently nuzzled it before standing up straight once more, making a not on her clipboard that was sitting on his side table.

"It seems you don't have a fever, that's good. Let's see...when was the last time you had a physical exam Shinji, I believe you're due for one," Ristuko said, sporting a devilish grin as her eyes narrowed on him. Shinji's heart began to race with his face turning red, knowing that if he went along with it things could get REALLY awkward.

"Th-That's OK Dr. Akagi, maybe some other time, I haven't eaten lunch yet so...uh...if you don't mind could I go?" Shinji said with a painful wince, holding his head as he returned to his feet. Ritsuko sighed and shrugged her shoulders, pulling out a small packet of pain killers that she then placed in his hand.

"I'll right you a doctor's note, give it to your instructor then go home and get rest; that fall you made was pretty harsh. Oh, and next time I see you, we need to do your physical, its for...your own health," Ritsuko said, rubbing Shinji's back before letting him exit the infirmary.

"Whew...that was close..." Shinji said, sighing as he popped two pills from the packet and swallowed them down. Heading back to class, his arm was suddenly snatched up, now being dragged off into a miscellaneous class room. With the door being shot behind him, he quickly noticed Rei now standing in front of him, her arms and legs quivering as she slowly pressed herself against him.

"U-Um...are you OK Rei?" Shinji said, his heart rate shooting up again as he felt the her gentle, warm breath against his neck. Rei shook as she nuzzled her nose against his neck, her hands trembling as they gripped onto his arm.

"S-Shinji...I'm sorry...I-I can't deny how my body feels for you anymore..." Rei whispered quietly, catching Shinji by surprise. Shinji began to shift his head side to side, trying to think of anything in his power to remove himself from the situation without being insensitive. In all honesty, Shinji liked Rei like this as well, but he feared the consequences should any one of the others find out.

"It's OK Rei...I feel the same way...but I need to go home, I hurt myself pretty bad in the hall and Dr. Akagi said I should leave for today...so..." Shinji said, trying to remove Rei's hands from his arms. Rei then shook her head, taking a whiff of Shinji's scent before quivering once more. Shinji sighed giving her a hug in return to calm her tremors that surged through her body.

"Not here Rei...maybe we can do it somewhere else later...for now I need to go home, OK?" Shinji said, blushing heavily as Rei looked up into his eyes. She gave him a sad, but understanding nod of her head before planting a soft kiss on his cheek.

"S-Sorry I'm being so forward...I'll see you later..." Rei said with a smile before opening the door back up to leave. Shinji allowed Rei to leave and gain some distance away before slowly slipping out of the room. He held his pained head and frazzled mind as he proceeded back on his course. Staying vigilant, he slowly crept through the halls, peeking around every corner before making his move.

"Almost there..." he quietly whispered as he approached the main flight of stair. Just as he stepped out into the open to go down the stairs, he was confronted with the fiery eyes of Asuka standing at the bottom of the short stairwell.

"There you are. You idiot, you're going to be late for the next class if you don't hurry up!" Asuka shouted, unaware of the note in his hand or the headache he had in the other. Slowly moving down the stairs, he sighed and handed Asuka the note.

"Can you give this to the instructor for me? I was told to go home by Dr. Akagi..." Shinji said, wincing in pain as she looked at it then back at him; for the first time in a long time, the concern in her eyes was stronger than her fiery anger that would constantly flare up.

"What happened?! Are you OK?!" Asuka said, analyzing him and testing his temperature with her hand. She looked as if she were scared for the worst as she continued to probe all over Shinji.

"I slipped and hit the ground really hard, that's all...you don't have to worry about me..." Shinji said, being pulled into a hug by Asuka that pouted in his ear.

"Be super safe going home OK? I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you..." Asuka said, gently pressing her lips to his. Shinji's eyes widened as his body froze like a statue, the new event overloading his system. Stepping back, Asuka could be seen blushing heavily before stepping past him.

"I promise I'll be careful," Shinji said with a soft smile before finally reaching the exit doors. He took a deep breath as he left the doors, exhaling into the afternoon as a gentle breeze caressed his body. His mind began to comb through the details of his day thus far, the stimulation from all of the affection and sexual tension making his already throbbing head worse. Approaching the gate, he saw Kaworu leaning up against the left column, clearly waiting for someone, which Shinji quickly figured that it was himself.

"I heard you had a nasty fall Shinji, I asked permission to walk you home, I hope that's OK," Kaworu said with his carefree smile.

"How did you find out about that? How long was I in the infirmary?" Shinji asked, walking onto the main street with Kaworu at his side.

"You were in there for a good 20-30 minutes so everyone easily found out about it," Kaworu replied, his eyes continually gazing at Shinji. The walk between them on the way back to Shinji's home was both awkward and comforting. Still unsure of his sexuality standpoint, it was a bit weird for Kaworu's affection to be so strong, but at the same time, he was the first person since his own mother that told him that he loved him. Shinji simply smiled back, both of them enjoying a comfortable silence until they arrived at Misato's apartment complex.

"I'm sorry for the long silence...I'm not really sure what to say," Shinji said, scratching the back of his head as he winced in pain again. Kaworu lightly chuckled and rubbed on his back.

"I just like being in your presence. Words aren't a necessity to comfort with another person," Kaworu smiled affectionately, causing Shinji's face to bounce back to rose red from pale and cold. Kaworu ran his hands up and down Shinji's arms, gently squeezing them before running a hand through Shinji's short, black locks.

"I guess I'll see you later Shinji, take care," Kaworu said, cupping Shinji's cheek then giving it a small rub before walking off. Shinji placed his hand where Kaworu's was; it was if he were being caressed by a lover of sorts. Smiling from the wonderfully pleasant exchange, Shinji made his way up to Misato's apartment, taking a hefty breath as he opened the door. With nobody home, he made his way over to his bedroom, quickly unbuttoning his shirt and hanging it up before laying out onto his bed.

"So...tired..." Shinji said as his emotional rollercoaster finally came to its end. Although he didn't quite fall asleep he kept seeing his day and all of its crazy occurrences but found himself smiling regardless of the madness. Day turned to night before he knew it, finally falling into a slumber to rest his aching mind. He slumbered peacefully until a sudden tremor next and the smell of alcohol stirred him awake. Before he had a chance to turn around he felt the chest of a well endowed female smooshing against his back, with her arms hugging around his waist. He felt himself gasping in surprise as the hand gently squeezed his crotch, the familiar giggling of Misato coming from behind him.

"M-M-Misato?" Shinji said, his face deep red as she squeezed his crotch again. Another little fit of laughter chased a moan that left his lips as she rustled up against him.

"Binnnnngo...hehehe...I can feel you getting hard Shinnnjiiii. That's soooo cute," Misato softly slurred, wrapping a leg between his to hold him in her clutches. Shinji stiffened up, trying to pull from her devilish grasp but to no avail. However, just as Shinji was about to give into temptation, Misato's hands went limp with a light snore coming from behind him. Shinji let out a relieving sigh, moving Misato's arms up to his lower chest.

"I suppose it's OK if we stay just like this...it feels nice..." Shinji said quietly, snuggling his back against her as he returned to his pleasant slumber, the knowledge of not being alone keeping both his body and heart warm for the night. He wasn't sure where tomorrow would go, but right now, everything felt surprisingly right, and that's more than he could ever ask for.
