Based off the terrible fanfiction 'My Immortal'. We never got any background on Ebony so I was wondering about her life at home and her first ride on Hogwarts Express. I do not own Harry Potter. I do not own 'My Immortal' neither song nor fanfiction. Enjoy, lovelies.
Mother. Her face frozen in a grin as sunlight was washed over her. Small freckles adorned her nose and cheeks making her look much younger than she actually was. Her light brown hair fell across her shoulders and a strand fell over her sparkling green eyes. She was beautiful. I definitely didn't inherit her beauty.
I felt the train jerk slightly and turned away from the locket to look out the window. I gasped. It was beautiful. Apparently, the tracks were elevated because I looked down upon hundreds of pine trees as far as the eye could see. The sun dipped low on the horizon causing a small ribbon of red to embrace the earth. Orange, gold, and yellow reflected over the thin veil of clouds in the west and gave the illusion of fire.
I heard the door slide open to my left and snapped the locket shut. Only then did I realize that tears had been slipping freely down my cheeks. Hurriedly wiping my eyes, I turned my gaze up to identify the stranger. She had big, frizzy brown hair and large teeth.
"Have you seen a toad anywhere?", Her voice sounded bossy, almost superior.
"I can't say that I have." I just wanted to be alone.
She turned to leave, but her eyes found their way back to me. She looked confused.
"Black hair and black eyes?" She squinted at me.
"They're just really dark brown, my eyes." Couldn't she see I'd been crying and take a hint?
Once again I was being studied by her. Her eyes moved from my hair to my right cheek. Crap. It left a bruise. I glared at her, almost daring her to mention it, but her eyes passed and skimmed the rest of me until she reached my palm.
"Is that real gold?" When's the last time she sat still?
"No, and could you plea-"
"And what happened to your face?"
"GET OUT!"
The door slammed. I turned my head to the window once more and the sun was gone. I wonder what it would be like to be in that forest right now. I definitely wouldn't feel as lonely, for I would have the trees. My thumb caressed the locket. I brought it up and pressed my lips against it.
"I love you, Mother...", I slid the cold metal to my cheek, right over the bruise.
My mother never would have hit me.
I'm hoping this isn't a total abomination. Please review. Stay sweet. SymmetryForever is out. Peace.
