After the tournament her father passed away due to his extensive damage to his liver and kidneys, she took to drinking to ease her grief ever since. She quickly put on her work clothes glancing at her digital alarm clock. Chapter 2

-Your late again Kazama!

Asuka hated her boss; he was always on her case, besides she was only fifteen minutes late.

-Sorry but the traffic was terrible.

-Don't give me that Kazama, I Know you walk to work, now get to work!

-Yes Mr Wong. She had said this so many times it was like a reflex

-Hi Asuka!

-Oh, hello Forrest.

She was just opening her cubical door when her closes male friend called her, with a smile he gave her a coffee mug nearly spilling it's contents, she gratefully sipped it.-Thanks I needed that.

-You always do, he joked.

-That's true, she agreed. Forrest always made her his "special cure" which soothed even the worst hangover.

- I was wondering, stammered Forrest who turned bright red.

- Yes? Asked Asuka.

-Well, how about dinner tonight? His pleading eyes stared into her which made her feel very uncomfortable.

- I'm sorry Forest, but I'm not interested. She felt awful but it was true, he was a close friend and in her eyes that was all he could be.

-Doesn't matter, well see yah.

-Yeah bye, and with that he left silently poor guy, now I feel terrible even Worse than when I had my hangover ,she sighed deeply better get to work before Mr Wong sees me.

Her cubical was cluttered with pens, scrunched up pieces of paper and photos. Her favourite photo which sat proudly on top of her computer was of her, Xiaoyu and her dad a week before he died, tears began to roll down her cheeks, sadness overwhelmed her as she wept for her father when all of a sudden her cell phone rang loudly (which nearly gave her a heart attack). It took her awhile to find it but it constantly rang which felt like a jackhammer drilling at her head so when she found it she didn't know to answer the damn thing or smash it. She had stopped crying by the time she found the damn thing. With a sigh she answered it with a hello. My life is crap. She thought (but not for long.)
