At Face Value
(Based on the TV Series The A-Team)
At face value he's just another pretty, handsome face,
But anyone who knows him, knows that ain't the case.
He may act like a sissy with no reason or rhyme,
But he was a, Green Beret, once upon a time.
At far too young an age he was pulled into a war,
Just what was his age, no one is for sure.
He survived a death camp, and the Viet Cong,
That pretty boy wouldn't make it, everyone was wrong.
This orphan grew up fast, he was a man before his time,
And then he was accused of someone else's crime.
He fought for his country, he survived Vietnam,
Just to spend the rest of his life living on the lam.
So yeah, he is a con man, who acts with a frilly air,
But he has no choice, because life didn't treat him fair.
He's part of the A-Team, he does things you couldn't dream,
This young lieutenant fugitive is far more than he'd seem.
So, while he dreams of bigger things and a better life,
Like no longer having to run and maybe finding a wife.
He doesn't let it stop him from being a better man,
And helping as many people as he and the A-Team can.
