"This one's Pumpkinchoke," Terezi said, pushing a pale orange scalemate into Nepeta's arms with a shark-toothed grin. As the teal-blooded troll continued to wander around the hive, picking up things and licking them as she went along, Nepeta inspected the little scalemate with a light smile.

It had a few white stripes, as well as a few streaks of green amongst the orange, and one of the button eyes felt a little loose on its thread. It seemed very worn, the neck more so than any other place, which was a common feature on every scalemate Terezi handed her. The only exception was a bright red one with dark green eyes, Cherryfang, which was obviously one of Terezi's favorites.

Terezi turned around, a box of chalk in her hands. She opened it and her hands hovered over the yellow, then suddenly veered to the right and she grabbed the red. "Hey, Nepella! You wanna draw with me?" she asked, holding the box of chalk out for Nepeta to take one.

"Sure," Nepeta said cheerfully, pulling out two pieces of chalk.

"Blueberries and limes," Terezi remarked, sniffing at the air and grinning. She dropped Cherryfang onto the ground and excitedly began to sketch something on the wall of the hive. Nepeta watched her for a while, tentative to start, 'pawndering' her options of what to draw before she began.

"Is it okay if I draw me?" Nepeta asked.

"If you don't mind the picture getting a little...runny!"

"Haha, that's fine," Nepeta shrugged. She put the green piece of chalk to the wall and started to draw. Occasionally Terezi would stop scribbling and tilt her head to the side, listening closely as Nepeta hummed and drew.

"All done!" Nepeta said proudly, stepping back from the wall.

"Lemme taste," Terezi drawled, inching over to the picture. Finally she caught scent of the meshed blue and green. She swiped her tongue over the wall, blurring the sketch only just. "It's cute!"

"Hee hee, thanks Rezi," Nepeta smiled.

"Wanna see what I drew, Nepella?"

"Mkay."

Terezi pointed to a random selection of the wall, grinning once again. After making out what the image was amongst the smeared colors, she couldn't help but smile as well.
