The Shepard/T'Soni were travailing in their private UT-47A Kodiak to the krogen homeworld of Tuchanka for the twenty fifth anniversary of the genophage cure.
The family of the 'former' commander Shepard consisted of her bond-mate Liara T'Soni, who was piloting the shuttle, the asari refused point-blank to let the human fly in memory of the way she drove the Mako. There was also their oldest daughter Rila who stood next to her 'father' and was holding the hand of her younger sister, Benezia's. Also sitting at the back of the Kodiak was Liara's 'father' matriarch Aethyta looking affectionately at the youngest child Hannah, named for her late grandmother, asleep in her grandfather's lap.
The Kodiak shuddered as it touched down in the newly christen city of Solus, formally the site of the shroud (source of the genophage cure). Even the movement of the shuttle didn't caused the sleeping two year old to stir as the matriarch looked on affectionately.
After the shuttle's pressure equalized the five asari and one human exited the Kodiak and were met by Urnot Grunt, with Wrex and Bakara and their oldest son Mordin, Named after the salarian who created the genophage cure. Also with the four Shepard knew were a group of ten krogen volunteers known as the 'Shepard's Shield' who's sole purpose was too protect VIP's visiting Tuchanka.
"Shepard, my sister!" Wrex yelled as he opened his arms for the commander.
"WREX!" Shepard screamed as she jumped into the battle-masters waiting arms.
"Do you think she'll ever love me as much as that?" Liara asked her father.
"You two got a hole different type of love kid" Aethyta replied.
As the two grate warriors broke there bear-hug Shepard's 'son' greeted his oldest sister.
"Hay tiny"
"I ain't tiny! Stop calling me that!" Rila replied angrily.
"Make me" Grunt laughed and Rila smiled.
"OK" was all the young asari said before she swung her head back before launching it foreword to head-butt the tank-breed krogen with force to make him stumble.
As Grunt regained his balance an older krogen sneered;
"Typical tank-born, can't even stand up too a squish asari"
Shepard over hearing the comment walked away from Wrex and towards the older krogen and said sweetly.
"Don't insult my kids"
The small human female head-butting the large krogen male, causing the rest of Shepard's Shield squad to laugh. The krogen Shepard head-butted became enraged at the embarrassment of being bested, so he growled and head-butted another member of his squad. This in turn lead to a cascade of head-butts with Shepard, Wrex and Grunt all joining in.
"Kid?" Aethyta asked as she turned to her daughter.
"Yes, dad?" Liara replied.
"Take Hannah"
"Yes father" Liara sighed as she took a hold of her still sleeping youngest, which freed the matriarch to be able to join in on the head-butting fun.
"Dr. T'Soni, would you care for some refreshments?" Bakara asked with a tone of utter boredom.
"That would be lovely" the asari replied.
"Girls" Liara called out.
"Yes" replied her to older daughter in unison.
"Follow me please, let us leave the 'children' to the juvenile games" Liara said before she, her two daughters and her female krogen friend walked away.
Throwing one last look over her shoulder Bakara shook her head and said;
"Males"
