Wooden

Disclaimer: Okay, so RK isn't mine...

Author's Notes: So well, this was originally to be a part of a series of humor one-shots all about Kenshin and Kaoru. However, it seems that I wouldn't be able to pull out another series with all the other stuff I am handling rigth now. So here it is, a very short drabble...hope you'd like it.

Kaoru blushed. Of course, it was unexpected. She quickly covered her bare chest with her water-soaked arms, her eyes widening as she tried to read his face. It wasn't an accident, judging from his expression. If it was, he would have his rurouni face but he was looking at her in a smoldering way so that she hadn't managed to threw him the wooden bucket.

"Nani yo…Kenshin?" she murmured, looking away.

He pursed his lips, swallowed hard and closed his eyes. Kaoru watched him from the corner of her eyes and wondered at his change of expression. Now he was back to being the rurouni.

"K-Kenshin?" she voiced out again.

He smiled, rubbed the back of his head sheepishly and looked away, "Suman Kaoru-dono…I was just going to collect the laundry you see—"

And that rurouni face made her pick up the wooden bucket and with precise timing and accurate aim she hurled it into his face.

The rurouni fell. Kaoru frowned, panting. She was probably expecting something more.

A/n: So there, what do you think about it? Short? Yeah, I know. I'd probably be posting another humor one-shot one of these days...
