The start of this story takes place on MySpace five years ago.

My name is Jesse, I live in the southwest corner of Wisconsin, US. I was looking for someone new to talk to at the time. At the time I was sixteen and liked to meet new people, and never really had a life outside of the three friends I had in school. Though I was shy, I was always willing to tell people about myself as long as they in turn told me about themselves.

The night this started, I went into the teen chatroom on MySpace one night and sat there reading all the messages before saying, "Hi". I just sat there reading the messages scrolling down the screen noticing the names as they went by. Ten minutes went by as I just sat there looking at the conversation as it went. Then I noticed my name in one of the messages. Her name was Taylar.

Just sitting there looking at the screen, another message popped up to me saying, "Hi, why don't you join the conversation?". At this point I was interested in talking, but still was a little unsure of myself whether or not I should. After a while she messaged me again, "I noticed by your profile picture that you are into paintballing. Are you any good?". After that I slowly started to talk with her.

"Yea, me and some friends are trying to start a paintball team. The only problem is, it is hard to get started and it doesn't seem like anyone is really serious about it," I said.

"Sounds like fun, and I can see where you would think that," she replied. "So where do you live?"

"I live in Wisconsin. How about yourself?"

"Texas. I live like five minutes away from the border."

"Okay, I see. Well you should add me so we can talk more."

"Sure. Sounds like a good idea."

After that we continued to talk all night. We talked about our families, what we wanted to do in life, and everything else we could possibly think of. I told her how I was going to join the army a month before I turned seventeen, and about how my friends were thinking abou the same. After we said good night neither of us wanted to go to sleep.
