Prologue
Sonic was sitting down on a chair on the beach, looking around because it was truly a beautiful day. Then, he stood up, and walked around the shore, slowly getting faster, and eventually ran for fun. He jumped while he was still running, making him going high up in the air.
"Yahooooooo!!!" Sonic screamed happily. He landed with a thump. "What's this?" he wondered.
It was not Sonic's fault for the thump. He looked around though the bushes he had landed on, finding something that was underground, and made of metal. He kicked whatever it was, and it opened, leaving Sonic falling down into it.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!" he screamed falling down.
He tried to safely land, and it worked, but he landed unsteadily. The inside was just like a laboratory.
"Blue Hedgehog!" a deep voice called.
"Huh?" Sonic looked around and saw nothing but the room, and slightly trembled. "Who's there?"
"Over here!" the voice called again.
Sonic turned around, and saw a big, ghostly, and red eye.
"You're the first living organism to enter here for 50 years!" the voice told Sonic, still in a deep, scary voice. "So now, it has been activated."
"What's it?" Sonic asked.
"The bomb." The voice answered. "It takes 100 days to go off, and destroy your world. But there is one way to stop it…"
"How?!" Sonic asked anxiously. "I'll do anything!"
"Take one."
Five specs of light appeared. Sonic grabbed the purplish one: the fourth light spec.
"You have chosen Task D." the voice told Sonic seriously. "The Task of the Kingdom. You must take over the Far Kingdom before the 100 days pass by, and the bomb will stop, because you will be given control of this place."
"Where is the Far Kingdom?"
"Far away from anything but itself…"
"I guess it'll keep me occupied for a while, then…" Sonic said.
And thus began Sonic's quest.
