When Shirley heard doorbell, she shelved whipped cream, interrupted decorating cake and went to open. At the threshold was standing Murdock.

'Hi!' he said merrily. 'I went to Quang. Today is his birthday, isn't it? I bother?'

'No, not so! It's nice, that you've remebered.' Shirley replied. 'Please, come in.'

Mrs Baracus closed the door and approached to stairs. Yelled:

'Quang, you have guest!'

When boy was going down the stairs he saw the captain and shouted joyfully:

'Uncle Murdock!'

Murdock crouched down and reached out his hands. Little Vietnamese ran up and hurled himself into man's arms.

'Happy birthday! I have a gift for you.' said pilot and brought out from jacket small rectangular box tied with a green ribbon. He gave it up to boy.

Quang unpacked present quickly and when he saw beautiful plane model, his eyes enlarged and blazed.

'Yay, thank you, it's magnificent!' he yelled exhilaratingy and started runing around the living room with model in his hand, imitating the sound of the engine.

'You're welcome' Murdock replied and smiled warmly.

'I also thank you. Will you stay and eat cake with us? B.A. went to the post office, he should be back soon.' said Shirley to captain.

'With pleasure!'

Half of an hour later four of them were sitting in the living room, eating birthday cake and talking larkily. At some point B.A. asked son:

'Who would you like to be, when you grow up?'

'Pilot!' replied Quang without hesitation.

Baracus chocked on cake.

'Wash it down' said Shirley and served glass of juice to her husband patting him lightly on the back .

B.A sent to Murdock harsh gaze. Probably only the presence of his wife and son stops him from suffocating guest.

Capitan grinned in answer.

When in the evening they put to sleep, Shirley asked sergeant:

'Do you have a problem with what Quang said about his plans for the future? You looked displeased by the rest of the day .'

'Of course I have! I don't want him to kill himself! And Murdock has bad influence on him. Fool shouldn't see our son so often.'

'Do you hear what you're sayin'? Murdock loves Quang, because you love this kid. It's like his nephew. When he will have his own children, he won't have that much time to coming to us.'

Through the eyes of imagination B.A. saw three children. First with sock on it's hand, second with lobster in sleeve and third with golf ball with eyes drown on it. He shook his head with hope, that he won't have nightmares about it.

'Besides, it could be worse.' woman continued 'If our son spent more time with Hannibal probably he'd like to trade in cigars. I don't even want to think to what Face would inspire him.' She smiled.. B.A told her much about what his and his friends life was alike when they were fugitives, so she knew, to which scams lieutenant is capable. She looked at her husband and said with defiance in her voice:

'Your fear of flying of course has nothing in common with your attitude?'

'Of course not!' he replied. 'Maybe a little' added after a while. 'Ok, it has' he sighed heavily after a few seconds more.

'Darling' Shirley touched husband's face. 'Quang is 6. In three months he'll want to became a fireman, and in a half year – doctor or journalist. Finally probably he'll choose another profession. The most important thing for him is to be happy .'

B.A thought for a moment on these words, then he kissed the woman's hand and said:

'My smart wife is right as usual. Besides, I should be glad that Murdock hadn't started to avoid me; after all Quang's look could remind him of the trauma he had suffered in 'Nam...'

'Finally you start to talk sensibly.' Shirley burst out laughing. 'Goodnight .'

'Goodnight, sweetheart.'
