I know. I know I said I was done, that I wouldn't post another story until one is finished.

What Is Dead May Never Die and The Falcon Flies High are almost finished. Long May They Reign is following right behind them if I focus on it.

Chapter 1: The Past Catches Up

Tywin

The pup was crying, crying for the mother who gave birth to him.

She couldn't be allowed to live, he couldn't risk the new Lord of Winterfell to grow up learning from a wife of the traitor father.

He also can't let the whelp have a traitors name, a name to give those that fell hope for independence. So, the mother was killed, some essence of nightshade and she went into a peaceful sleep. The boy who cried in this crib was wild, giving a wild cry.

A wild child can be trained, can be domesticated like any animal on this earth.

A Lannister name will do, Tytos. He sighed and commanded the servants to keep the child safe and healthy, the heir to Winterfell deserves that right even if he is of traitor blood.

It's been a year. A year since the Northern rebellion was beaten back, soon enough, Stannis Baratheon and the Greyjoys will join Robb and all his generals.

Varys says that Stannis is going to the Wall, hopefully, this Mance Rayder can deal with the problem for him.

Fourteen Years Later

House Stark was obliterated at the Twins. Stannis Baratheon fell a year after at Winterfell to Roose Bolton. Jon Snow, the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch was slain by his people and avenged when the Wildlings led by Tormund and 3,000 others killed the Mutineers and retook the Wall.

An agreement in the two years of fighting would allow the Wildlings to remain as the new Night's Watch, Roose Bolton would cease their attacks after one of the skirmishes killed his heir, Ramsey Bolton who was crushed by the giant, Wun Wun.

In the south, Tywin took Robb Starks son and heir as his ward and took the boy to Casterly Rock when his grandson, Tommen came of age after the assassination of Joffrey by the hands of Tyrion Lannister who would flee in that same year, though the Old Lion escaped death when his son attempted to kill him.

The Ironborn were vanquished in 308 AC, after the infighting and the Royal Fleet headed by Lord Paxter Redwyne defeated Euron and Asha Greyjoy, though Victarion and some others fled and became pirates.

Ned or Tytos now was twelve when he came to the capital and met King Tommen's twin children, a boy named Robert and a girl named Myrielle. The boy was sent to ensure the next Lord of Winterfell was loyal, and he was as he befriended the two and the two boys would train together. Myrielle would insist on marrying him thought the two were young and it was a fast-passing thing.

Meanwhile, in the East of Slaver's Bay, Daenerys remains as it's Queen and her dragons have grown to maturity. He eyes have turned to the West on three occasions, one time an invasion was very possible if Qarth and Volantis and one of the Slave Cities wouldn't have warred with her which turned blood for both sides, costing the lives of two of her dragons, Viserion and Rhaegal.

She's since defeated them all and has married twice since then but as of yet bore no issue.

As for House Starks remaining members. Sansa Stark and Arya Stark remain missing. Rickon was found and brought to Winterfell where he was killed by Roose Bolton, snatching the last hopes for the North in that act. Bran Stark is presumed dead.

In the South of Dorne, Prince Trystane Martell and Princess Myrcella were wed in the Water Gardens in the year of 302 AC, a daughter was born a year later by the name of Arianne Martell. The Sand Snakes in an attempt at avenging Oberyn failed, although the deaths of Arys Oakheart and Doran Martell was two of the casualties of that night. Ellaria, in her anger, allowed Nymeria, Obara, and Tyene to be imprisoned. They were sent to the Wall as the Night's Watch's new Lord Commander made it known to accept women into their ranks.

Today, today will also go down into the histories... Tywin Lannister is on his way to the next life.

It is nearing the end of the year in 314 AC. Ned Stark and his Lannister Masters are going to the Great Sept to bid farewell to the man who was responsible for the last eleven years of peace.

Tytos/Ned

"Hurry along, boy," He heard Cersei snap at him, the fourteen-year-old boy hurried and helped the Dowager Queen out of the carriage. She paid him no mind as she went on ahead.

Tommen and his wife, Margaery exited the carriage next, "I'm sorry, Tytos. My mother has been moody since Tywin passed away." The King nodded and patted him on the shoulder. The young King limped on, his cane holding him up. The Queen, however, sent him a smirk and rested a hand on his cheek before following her husband.

He must admit, throughout his years he's grown to like and admire the King and Queen. They were fair and kind, he prayed to the gods that his graces gout abates.

But then again, the King has a stable heir in Robert. The Heir to the Seven Kingdoms rode up with his great-uncle Jaime, the oldest of his graces Kingsguard with the new ones taking up the positions of past members. One, for example, Ser Edric Dayne, the new Sword of the Morning and Ser Gyles Grafton, known after the fall of Pyke as the Hammerhead.

There are others such as Ser Robin Frey, son of Tion Frey and cousin to the Dowager Queen. Then there is Ser Osric the Eagle from the Reach, the second son of the new Lord of Brightwater Keep after House Florent went extinct. Can't forget the twin sons of Randyll Tarly, the last sons before his wife died, one brother is Richard Tarly, the other is Bryan Tarly, two brainless men but good with ax and sword.

"My friend! I am so glad you came, it has been some time." Robert forgets, Lord Tywin is never anywhere without his Loyal Wolf, it's what Cersei and others like calling him. It became demeaning and he hated being called it, it was worse when Cersei would threaten to have him thrown into a well if he ever thought of picking up a sword.

Lord Tywin demanded it, said something about a Great Lord needing martial training.

His Sworn Sword, Brienne and Podrick once praised him. Saying that he was just like his father with a sword, but other than that, they said no more because mentioning Robb Stark the Young Wolf in his presence was forbidden.

Not that he could say anything, Brienne and Podrick went away one morning right after telling him that... He hasn't seen them since and that was when he was nine.

As for his friend, Robert was like his grandfather, boisterous and wild when fighting. The blond haired, green-eyed Baratheon couldn't control his anger, especially when it came to his sister, the Princess Myrielle.

Myrielle looks so beautiful in the snow, Winter becomes her or that might come from her mother, the Queen. Her blond/brown hair that seemed so long and her emerald eyes blinking in the sunlight whenever it comes around.

Then again, snow doesn't last long down here, it's hardly that cold unless you travel through the Riverlands and the Vale, he doesn't know about the North. King's Landing has had longlasting snow for almost seven years, it was a fun time for him to play and be like an ordinary child rather than Tywin's new dog.

North. His home. Winterfell. He's never seen it, never laid eyes on the lands or the barrows. His home has been King's Landing, then the Rock, Dragonstone for one year but it was more than six months and when he was thirteen, Robert got into an argument with his mother, ordered him to go with whilst Tywin was away and didn't return until the King sent Jaime to fetch them.

"Myrielle didn't want to come?" He asked Robert and Jaime, the younger blond waved his hand uninterestingly so.

"After Tywin made the betrothal to Roland Swann, she's been unsympathetic to our great-grandfather's health." Roland Swann is the son of Lord Donnel Swann, the new Lord Paramount of the Stormlands after Stannis and his line ended. But Myrielle has always been a young woman of emotion, her feelings towards some things are strong or weak, and being forced to wed a stranger is one of those strong feelings.

"At least the mans a great-lord. The Lord of Riverrun is half-Frey." He spat and Robert chuckled.

He didn't know his father. Didn't know his mother, yet he hates House Frey all the same. His life would have turned out differently if the Red Wedding hadn't occurred all those years ago. Then again, a lot worse could have happened, his mother could have gone with his father to the Twins and died.

"Well, a talk for another time? Now, let's get in there." Robert said and he nodded, following his friend up the steps to the Sept of Baelor.

It was a good service, Tywin had many 'friends' and the few rivals that came to see that the Old Lion was truly dead. He never expected him to die, he supposed that old age catches up with the same pace as the past.

It was the end of the day when everyone was heading back to the Red Keep, the streets were a little busier than usual today. He was on his horse with his two Lannister guards that were always with him since his trip with Robert to Dragonstone.

"Tytos!" He heard someone call and he urged his horse to meet up with the royal carriage, it was the King who wanted him, "You have served my grandfather as his page for many years, you are good friends with my son, he needs good friends." Tommen stated, and he nodded with his lips thinned with no expression. "I want you to remain here, become my page and ward and, if war occurs be my squire. Would you like that?" The King was generous, that he'd offer him this.

"Your grace, I... " A moment of hesitation passes before he gave him an answer.

"The North Remembers!" Someone cried out in the crowd going to the Red Keep, a crossbow came and struck the King in the heart, he panicked and so did his horse.

A dozen, maybe four dozens came out of nowhere, attacking the royal family and soldiers protecting them. He got up and checked on the King, the Queen was holding him and crying for him to wake but he didn't, the King was dead. She looked at him and for a moment, there was no warmth but venomous hostility.

"The North Remembers? That was your people, did you plan this?! Did you!" He shook his head, he didn't have anything to do with this, not this.

He backed up and heard a cry, he turned to see the Dowager Queen being dragged and stabbed a number of times. Jaime and Robert ran to her and killed the perpetrators.

He didn't even get to take out his blade to help before he felt a dagger against his throat, "Who are you?! Tytos? Is your name Tytos?!" He nodded to the demand. "We got him! Let's leave!" He was then dragged away, deep into the alley with six others while the rest keeps everyone fighting, he struggled but the man was too strong.

Later on, he was knocked out taken away.

Margaery

Her sweet Tommen... Her husband.

"Who would do this? My father worked for peace all his life, and those monsters would easily kill him so callously." He firstborn muttered after they arrived back at the Red Keep. "They killed grandmother, she survived long enough to reach the castle." She isn't sad that Cersei is dead, the old wench would have ruined everything should she live long.

The North Remembers. That is what those bastards said, they attacked and killed her husband, nearly killed her son.

Tytos isn't here. She narrowed her eyes, wondering where the pup ran off to.

It suddenly dawned on her, why after the attack all those that died by none were taken, none but the son of Robb Stark, the King of the North. She gripped her hands so hard that she punctured blood, Robert saw this and immediately helped her.

"Mother, you're hurt, you need a- " She stopped him, stopped it all.

"Tytos. Why have we lost so many but they take him? Those assassins cried The North Remembers, that is a Northern saying and the North hates your family, for what happened all those years ago." Robert pulled away, he didn't want to believe what she was saying. "And Tywin's death, what if it wasn't natural? Tytos cooked his meals and brought him wine or water, he could have killed the Hand and then the King, your father's death was planned by him, Robert."

"Tytos is my friends- My brother, I can't believe he would do this." He was conflicted but she was not, that pup had to be responsible for this.

"Blood is thicker than water, Robert. He lost a father, mother, grandparents and uncles and aunts to House Lannister. He was never going to be loyal... Even though your father and I treated him like another son." She was angry and saddened by all this, that treachery would come after years of peace.

Maybe this is karma. Robert I Baratheon ruled for fourteen years, then her husband after the death of his brother. Both were killed, both betrayed.

"... Uncle Jaime." Her son called and the greying knight stepped forward, "I want a bounty put on Tytos Stark, he might be going by Eddard or Ned, now. He is wanted for regicide and treason, the reward is 800 dragons if dead and a Lordship if brought in alive." Her son muttered and he tore himself away to be with his father.

Elsewhere

Miles away from the capital Ned was waking up, he was rested against a tree and his hands were tied though his feet weren't.

He noticed several men, some wearing sigils and others not but furs of black. He groaned and that got some to turn to him, one of those in black came over and he panicked, thinking he was going to be hurt but instead the man cut him loose.

"It's alright, Eddard, you are safe, now." He remembers that voice, too familiar. He looked ahead as someone came forward from the shadows, it was night and he could not see.

When he did, he was shocked to lay eyes on his former protector.

"... Brienne?"
