Rose was swimming in the pool in the TARDIS. She had needed to be alone for a while, because she couldn't tell the Doctor anything (meaning that she couldn't tell him she was hopelessly in love with him) so she had come to the swimming pool.
Rose swam up to the pole of the ladder, and stared at it for a moment before speaking.
"Doctor. I know that you and I have had only a friendship for a while. But, I would like something different." The pole regarded her impassively.
"You see, I love you. I think I loved you since you told me to run." She placed her fingers on the pole. It was cold and, well, a pole.
"And yes, I know I'm talking to a pole. But I couldn't say this to the real Doctor, sooo… I can pretend." She sighed and leant forward pressing her lips to the pole. It was cold and hard beneath her mouth.
"Rose?" She gasped and jumped backwards.
"Err… This isn't what it looks like!" She said, blushing. The Doctor grinned.
"Rose. I heard everything." Her mouth dropped open.
"Rose… I love you too."
The next thing Rose kissed was not at all cold and hard.
