Wheres that silver lining?
You promised me years ago,
That gold at the end of the rainbow,
Was my happiness long ago?
And now that it's all over,
The calm before the storm,
Free of broken promises,
Three years long.
All these days of waiting,
The hours I spent alone,
Wondering why you left me,
Wondering why I cared,
The life I was dreaming,
Wasn't a life alone,
The life you carved for me,
Is long overdue.
