OKAY EVERYBODY! This is it! I'm finally going to type up my first ever Hetalia fanfic that I wrote. Before any of my others this was the first one I wrote with Ellechim's older sister Atlantis, my first OC. So I hope you enjoy this! But please don't bash me too hard if it's bad. This was the first one I did so I hadn't gotten so good with characters like I had in my other stories and I'm typing it just how I wrote it.
I slammed the door open and threw myself on a couch beside the fireplace in the World Gathering Living Room. Some glanced at me with fear and awe. France strode over, "Madame Atlantis, whatever is wrong?"
"Nothing France." I grumbled.
France pouted, "Come on Atlantis, you've always came to me for consoling."
"It doesn't matter France, you wouldn't be able to help me."
"Oh? And why not?"
"For one thing, you maybe stronger than me, but you're still weak compared to England and America."
"Uhh..." He uttered in disbelief.
France trudged away and in came Big Brother Greece, "Little Sister, tell me love, what's the matter?"
"I'm fine Big Brother."
"Eh if you say so." He said shrugging and leaving.
France came back, "You sure you still don't want to talk about it?"
I sighed/ "America and England's picking on me again. But don't worry, I'm fending them off." I whispered to him, then under my breath, I grumbled, "Sort of."
France sat beside me, "Don't worry mi amour! I'm by your side."
I smiled warmly. He may be a pervert and a total idiot, but he's a good friend. France talked to me for a bit till he went to go fight Britain, insisting that my honor was at stake and that as my friend it was his duty to protect me. I sat alone, cradling a glass of wine, -courtesy of France-, gazing deep into the fire.
"Vine's no vay to go about drowning your problems. Drink beer." An annoying voice said behind me.
"Prussia." I growled, not wanting to get into a fight with him right now.
"What's the matter Atlantis? Don't know what to the all powerful awesome Prussia?" He laughed.
"Go away Prussia." I snapped.
He then whispered silkily into my ear, "You know, if you want, I could protect you from America and Britain, what you from America and Britain, what you say?"
I didn't face him, because I didn't want the jerk to know I was actually considering it, "No thanks. I'm fine." I finished proudly.
He frowned and shrugged.
"Well my offer still stands, you need to just ask." He said walking away.
A week later America and Britain totally kicked my ass and though they didn't realize it, I was on the brink of death.
Lucky France had been on a walk and found me. "Atlantis! Are you okay? Did Britain and America do this to you?" He freaked out all the while running me to the hospital. He called Greece, who came as fast as he could. My other friends visited me too. Even the two who did this, though they apologized for it, not meaning to have been this hard on me, after all, I may be old, in age, but I was still quite a small city-county.
When I thought all had come to see me, there was one more. The voice from the shadow entered, sounding bitter and hurt, as if he was the one in pain. "You idiot, I get it, that you want everyone to think you're strong enough to defend yourself. And you can be, but just because I'm a male, doesn't mean I ask to protect you because I don't think you can't do it. No I asked you because I want to protect you." He sat down, and took my hand.
His eyes quivered, and his face hardened by a mask forced to hide the emotions of his true feelings.
Sometimes I really don't understand him. I wondered why he acted like he cared so much. Was there more to him than I realized?
"You really want to protect me? Why?"
He kind of smirked at my response, "I think the answer vill come, if it hasn't already."
I was drifting to sleep when I felt his hand on the top of my head. His lips softly brushed my brow. "Get better Atlantis."
