"Director Fury." Said Black Widow, snapping Nick Fury out of his focus.
"Agent Romanoff."
"I'd like you to come with me." She requested.
They walked through the halls and traveled down into the labs where most of the Avengers would never bother to go and stopped at a door marked "Special Projects".
Widow stared expectantly at Fury.
"What are we doing here?"
Instead of answering, she opened up the door and Fury followed her in. They walked over to an all too familiar pod that once more contained a body.
It was Fury's turn to stare at Widow expectantly.
"When you told me about Project: T.A.H.I.T.I., you told me it was designed to restore life to a fallen Avenger."
"Project: T.A.H.I.T.I. was shut down after it was performed on Agent Coulson, Natasha, you know that."
"I do, but I'm requesting it be reinstated. You say it's for fallen Avengers, and that's exactly what we have hear." Said Widow, pointing at the pod. Fury walked over and looked down into it, staring at the lifeless face of Pietro Maximoff.
"He's not completely dead. His enhanced metabolism has been keeping him alive and Dr. Cho has managed to replace some of his damaged tissue, but the only way to completely finish the job is with T.A.H.I.T.I."
Fury stared at Pietro for a while longer. He then looked over at Widow and said "Then what are we waiting for?"
