Angeal didn't know what time it was nor did he get a moment to look at the clock. He had been sleeping peacefully, dreaming about pie, tea, and Vincent. All at once? He couldn't remember. The big man had been jarred awake by five little bodies launching themselves like fleshy cannon balls. The landed straight on their father's chest, bouncing happily. "Its Christmas! Its Christmas!"
Vincent opened an eyes and chuckled. "Happens every year. You should be used to it by now." he said as Nathan made his way towards his mother and snuggled him close. After Kenna, Angeal had hoped for a boy. When he found out one of the twins was male, he felt like all his dreams had come true. A biological boy. One he could teach how to wrestle, play sports and just be daddy's little man. Not that he didn't already with Adam, but one more wouldn't hurt. As fate would have it, Nathan turned out to be a complete mama's boy with no interest in sports, wrestling, and was often caught trying to steal the other girls' dolls.
Vincent glanced over to his husband who was being dragged off by the kids. At least they weren't playing 'pirates'. The gunman scooped up his son and carried him over to the kitchen to turn on the coffee pot. He made his way to the living room where all the kids were bouncing around. A smile crept on his face as he watched Hailey spin the shiny ornaments in the large tree, thoroughly entertained. Angeal called for the kids to settle down as he passed out gifts. The children tore into them excitedly and soon the house was filled with laughing, noises from the toys, and happy kids.
The ex-Turk remained in the corner, helping Nathan open presents on his lap. Once it was done he let the boy go and play with his siblings. Nadia played with Kenna and her new tea set as she tinkered with her new cell phone with the other hand. Charlotte snuck over and played with Adam who generously shared his toys. Hailey wiggled happily at the noises her toy made. Once the excitement passed each child glomped their parents with "Thank you"s and "I love you"s. When Angeal finished opening his own gifts he stood and grabbed the last box from under the tree.
The box was placed gently in Vincent's lap. The crimson eyed man look up and smiled. "Angeal, I told you not to get me anything."
"You know I never listen to your unreasonable requests." replied Angeal, kissing his lover on the cheek. Vincent pulled apart at the paper and opened the box. It contained the basic things for Cerberus, like bullets, gun oil and the like but underneath was a small velvet box. Curiously he pulled it out and opened it. Inside lay a diamond encrusted chain with a white gold wolf at the end. The eyes of the wolf were sapphires. Vincent was speechless.
"Its for Cerberus. Think of it as an add on to the existing chain you have."
Angeal was caught off guard as Vincent kissed him passionately earning an "Ewwwwww" from the kids. When the gunman pulled away he was smiling bright, something Angeal never got tired of seeing. "Its beautiful. I love it." he complimented.
"Merry Christmas, Kitten."
"Merry Christmas, Papa Wolf."
