A Werewolf in the night

Remus's P.O.V.

I looked around the room one last time before the transformation I knew was sure to come. I had no wolfsbanetonight, and I was…scared. Before I knew it the moon lit the room, shiningintomyeyes. I bracedmyself. My last conscious thought was: 'Here we go again…'

My body turned and twisted into impossible formations as I screamed, that scream quickly turning into a growl. My eyes snapped open and I found I could see in the dark.

I longed for blood. To kill, to bite. With almost no control over my own movements I started scratching at the door, trying to get out. When I found the door wouldn't give in, I gave up. I looked around the room for something else to do. Something else to satisfy me. The moon was almost painful in my werewolf eyes. I spotted a chair and I darted towards it. I waited for less than a second before…rip…that was the cloth…rip…that was the stuffing…tear…some more stuffing…grab…the taste of wood in my mouth…bite…my jaws fastening around it…chew…dead. My strong teeth had the piece of wood splintered within seconds. I continued destroying the chair in the same fashion. It was a large chair and after that I started on a rather large table. Have to kill… Have to bite… Little less than an hour later all furniture in the room was destroyed beyond recognition. My claws tried to rip the floorboards out of the floor, but they wouldn't give. Frustrated I started on the walls. When I found they wouldn't budge, my teeth pulled out some of my fur. Then my claws scratched my face, blood was dripping on the floor and I licked it up with my tong. Blood. It was amazing. Longing for more of the red substance I bit myself. I continued this practise for more than an hour, occasionally using my claws. The rest of the night was agony, my whole body hurt.

When morning finally came I spotted a stray ray of sunlight creeping through the room. Ah! My eyes! That hurts! My whole body started shaking and twisting…

And there I lay. Exhausted. In pain. I would have to do something about that later. I welcomed the sun. Now it was like a beacon of hope. A new day. My eyes still hurt, but for now, all I could think was: 'Next month…'
