"What are you doing?"
"Thinking."
"About?"
Buffy turned from the living room window and it's view of Rome. "Did I do the right thing?"
"Yeah.. Things are pretty confusing. You did what you had to do."
"But was it the right thing?"
"Honestly?"
"Please."
"I think so. Until we know more about it.."
"So.. You don't think I'm being an over cautious bitch?" She arched her brow at the laugh she received in response.
"You are, but we love you anyway."
"How comforting." She replied dryly. Buffy sighed.
"Don't do that. I know that sigh. I'm not going to let you feel guilty about this."
"And just how do you plan to keep that from happening?" When she found a pair of arms around her and that familiar face looming over her, she smiled softly. "Oh. That'll work."
"I have some kinky ideas too--"
She grinned and poked him playfully. "Not while Dawnie's here." Buffy tilted her head and stared at him. "I'm really glad you're here."
"Where else would I be.. Africa?"
She rolled her eyes at him. "Funny."
"So I'm told."
"I'm glad your home."
"Really?"
She nodded and placed her head on his chest and hugged him tightly. "Really. Did I do the right thing?"
"Yes. You did the right thing."
"Good. I'd hate to think I forced you to marrying me."
"The wine helped."
She swatted at him. "Xander!!"
He laughed. "Teasing! It was the dress."
She tried to glare at him, but it didn't work so she shrugged. "I was feeling.. Minxy."
"I could tell."
"We should tell the gang." Buffy said suddenly.
"We will." Xander told her. "Just as soon as Andrew holds a conference call."
"He and Giles really love those."
"It scares me."
"The conference calls?"
"Andrew's hair."
Buffy burst into a fit of giggles and Xander quickly joined her. The door opened and Dawn and two girls with her rolled their eyes.
"At least you two aren't boffing each other. AGAIN." Dawn muttered. She led the girls past the laughing duo. "If you stare at them too long, you'll go blind. Buffy, we're training."
Buffy nodded. "We'll be down in a few minutes." As the girls headed for Buffy's makeshift training room, she smiled at Xander. "She's going to be a bad influence on your girls."
"I weep for our youth."
"No more tea with Giles."
"Is that a punishment or a promise?"
"Cute."
"I thought so."
