My first fic for Bravely Second

Tiz x Yew are my new OTP for this series :D

Tiz walked over to where Yew sat sulking on a tree stump while Edea and Magnolia continued pitching up the tents. The older boy took a seat on the soft grass beside him and let out a small sigh. "It's tough out here, adventuring" he engaged conversation lamely. Yew just huffed sadly and dropped his hands from cupping his chin into his lap, letting out a shaky sigh. Tiz frowned and grabbed a small stick, digging it into the ground and trailing it around in front of him. "I know what it's like to be betrayed by someone you thought would always be a friend, you know".

Yew looked up slightly. "You...you do, sir?"

Tiz nodded with a sad smile. "Yeah, it was when I was with Agnes, Edea and Ringabel. Agnes had a Cryst Fairy with her named Airy. We did everything Airy told us to do from the day me and Agnes met. Airy led us right into the thick of her plan. She'd been the real enemy all along and none of us saw it until it was too late. Well, Ringabel actually told me a little suspicion he had but we weren't completely sure. Agnes and Airy seemed so close too...it must've broke Agnes' heart more than it did for the rest of us".

Yew went to look at his pendant but remembered he'd left it at their camp so he could think. He lifted his head up more to look at his hero directly. "Janne was...he was part of my inspiration to keep going whenever things got really tough... He and Sir Nikolai were the two people I was closest to - my brothers in arms. I...I'm sort of scared, sir...I don't know what to do now. Janne was going to kill me before...and I thought Sir Nikolai was dead... How...How do you move on from something like this sir...?"

Tiz stood up and placed a hand firmly on Yew's shoulder. "Perhaps you need to just see what you have in the present instead of the past. It can hurt, and will, for a long time. But in the end, justice will be served. We'll beat the Kaiser and save Agnes and the world will be right once more Yew. It happened before, when the Warriors of Light were doing the rescuing. And since two of those Warriors of Light are with you right now, and a third waiting to be rescued by her loyal musketeer, then it can happen again".

"Th-Thank you...sir... You're right, Her Holiness would want me to be strong and carry on with this quest, no matter what. Janne and Sir Nikolai are behind me. Now I have you, Edea and Magnolia. I...I'll do my best sir, I promise".

"That's the spirit!" Tiz grinned and Yew returned it.

Edea watched them with her hands on her hips. Magnolia stood beside her, watching the two intently. "Jeez, it's like they're twins" the Warrior of Light muttered before crawling into her tent and pulling Magnolia in with her as the two boys came back to camp and slipped into their own tent for the night.
