(A/N - I just rly like human-vampire ships, you guys *u*)

"Hey, Marcy?" The two girls, one with long black hair and the other with a bunny hat, were sitting on a hill, watching the moon get higher and higher in the sky. Vampires can't be in the sunshine, after all.

"Hey, what?" The Queen grunted lazily, propping herself up on the backs of her arms to look at the human.

"You're a...Girl, right?" The heroine spoke slowly, unsure, but the second it was out, her eyes widened, realizing what exactly she'd just said. "I-I mean, duh you're a girl, b-but like...Ugh!" She pulled the ears of her hat down to try and cover her face. Why can't she think straight anymore these days?!

The Immortal teen cocked a brow, couldn't help but smirk. "Dude, what are you even talking about?"

"Mmph..."Okay, maybe she needed to take a different approach. "Well...We're friends, right?"

"A'course!~" Marceline chirruped, but after a moment or two, her brows knit in mild confusion. "Fi, are you feeling okay? You're acting really weird." No jokes, no obnoxious laughter...Something must be up.

"I'm fine." It's not a total lie. She's just been all soul-searchy and weird lately, but it hasn't been about being one of the last humans like usual. Cake's noticed, that's for sure. Thankfully she's been able to get out of the Treehouse pretty quick before the questions and embarrassment started flying like crazy.

The Vampire's obviously skeptical, eyes narrowed, but eventually she gives a shrug, itching at the tip of her nose. "If you say so." She has a feeling she'll get to the bottom of this soon enough, though.

"...So..."

Yep, here we go.

"Uh...Since you're a girl, an' you're my friend...Does that mean you're like...My girlfriend?"

"Pff - I think you got it backwards or something, kid." The Queen is laughing like a madwoman, and Fionna's so red faced she could just about have a whole three-course meal if she wanted to!

"No!" The younger girl panicked, arms flailing, but only when the other finally quit her cackling did she settle down, too. "Well...Maybe? I dunno..." It's a reluctant admission, and she puffed a strand of hair out of her face. "It's just, we hang out a lot and sometimes we hold hands or you kiss me, so I thought..."

"That it meant we were dating." She finished for her, head nodding slowly as she processed it. "I get it."

"Yeah. Man, I prolly went and made things a bazillion times weirder!" Hands dropping in her lap, fingers messing with eachother, the human made a show of not looking anywhere else but down.

"Nah, I can confuse people pretty easy." No laughing this time, just a partially sympathetic smile for her.

"Oh..." The girl grunted, daring to steal a glance over at the other. "Does that mean you don't wanna be my girlfriend?" It was an honest enough question. It's better to ask, because you never know unless you try, right? And the worst thing she could say is no, but that would still be pretty bad, and what if -

Oops. There she goes again, thinking way too much.

"What, you want me to be?" The Vampiress was the one a little red in the face now, definitely caught off guard.

A long silence, except for the frog-fishes croaking. "...Are you gonna hit me if I say yeah?" Playing punchies with somebody as strong as Marceline usually doesn't end well for her, never mind if she's angry!

"...S'cool." Came the mumbled reply, a tentative shrug. Since when was she so nervous about this kind of stuff?

"Heh...Yeah." Scooting over closer to her, the adventurer kissed her on the cheek like she always does.

"S'cool."
