Of Trail Mix…
Disclaimer: Don't own Shaman King. Don't own Coldstone.
A/N: Go easy on me; I don't usually write Shaman King fics but I couldn't do this with Yugioh, and my sister loves this series, so why not try? The characters might be a little OOC, but I based them on the mangas I've read of this series. This is a true story- me in Ren's place and my sister in Jun's. No, my sister can't drive. In case you were wondering, Jun is talking about English class. That's also a true story of what happened in my English class today.
Jun finished piling the groceries into the car. She took out two containers of trail mix and threw one at Ren who was sitting impatiently in the back seat, "Trail Mix?" she asked. Ren didn't respond, but began to work on opening it.
Closing the door, she walked around to the other side of the car. Once in her seat, she struggled to find the keys. When she did she put them in the ignition. Well, yeah, that's generally how you start a car.
They drove in silence for a little while. It was a long way back and the silence became unbearable. So, Jun started talking in hopes that it would keep a conversation.
It became one-sided very quickly when Ren didn't reply. Soon she was just telling him about her day, "We had to create these towns for short stories, see. Basically, 2nd period called their town Coldstone after the ice-cream place, so 3rd period saw that and thought 'lets be even more creative'. Thus they named their town Hotstone. 4th saw this and decided to name theirs Hotrock. And now our city is Kindawarmrock, its on the coastline of California, has a population of 56 people, is a major distributor of honey, the mayor lives in an igloo, it-"
Suddenly she felt something hit the back of her head. She looked down to find where the item had fallen, and saw a bag of trail mix. On further examination, she found there had been an attempt to tear it in several different places, it had been chewed on, and poked with a pen or pencil, but not popped or torn.
She looked back to see Ren with a pouting, defeated look on his face.
"Couldn't open it?" She asked, opening it with ease.
"Shut up." Ren muttered, narrowing his eyes at her and refusing to take the food.
