My Magical Journey On The Hogwarts Express..
Shivers of excitement ran through me as I passed through the enchanted brick barrier between platforms nine and ten.
Leaving the muggle packed station behind I embarked on my magical journey to the place I call home; Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
A screech of a whistle rang in my ears signalling the train was about to depart,followed by the great road of the train engine which echoed through the platform. I looked up to see the scarlet red steam engine. A sign hung gently from the barrier above which was suspended by two gold chains, gold encrusted writing on the matching scarlet plaque spelt out;
'Platforms nine and three Qaurters'.
Bursting with excitement I jumped on the vibrant Hogwarts Express, dumping my bulky trunk in the overcrowded luggage compartment I heard the sweet chime of the stations clock, 11 O'Clock, It's time!
The blast of the final whistle shot through the atmosphere as the train let out a great roar like a tormented dragon, I felt the ground move beneath me. While the parents of the joyful students chroused their tearful goodbyes the train gathered speed. Students then rushed from the trains steamed windows filling up all the cosy compartments.
Adrenaline pumped through me as I edged down the magical train just as a tiny embarrassed first year, who's face was the nearly same shade of scarlet as the train, shot passed me appearing to be chasing a bewitched chocolate frog.
Leaving London behind steam started to lift off the trains gleaming windows as the midday sun shattered, the morning cold. In the distance I heard an old womens voice call out "Anything from the trolley?" causing students to spill from their compartments.
Glancing around I saw a plump little old witch, who's hair was tied back in a neat bun and wore a blue appron, pushing along a trolley full to the brim with chocolates and sweets.
The sugary smell of sweets filled the air as i approached the golden trolley.
"How can I choose?" "How can anyone choose?" were the two questions which whizzed around my head as my eyes scanned the collection of sweets and chocolates stacked hight upon the golden trolley.
Pumpkin pasties, chocolate frogs and Liquorice wands were among the delicious treats. After what felt like a lifetime I decided on which treats I would like, paying the little witch with bronze knuts and silver knickles i carried on down the packed train.
Sun shone through the trains now crystal clear windows, field after field soared past them like a speeded up movie, as the train pushed its way through the beautiful countryside. My eyes followed a ray of sun which cast through the gleaming window of one of the cosy compartments, landing on the latest copy of the 'Daily Prophett' which lay upon one of the compartments comfy cushioned seats. Bewitching moving photographs dominated the front page.
Home.
One word home, just home stood out to me on the front cover of the magical newspaper. The word ran through me like some sort of warm liquid, spreading even more happiness to every part of my body, which I didn't even think was possible as I was already
bursting with happiness and excitement already.
As I looked out through the window I could see the top of a building appearing from behind the maginifcent green mountins, as the building came into view I could see the enchanted castle where all my dreams come true.
Hogwarts my home.
