Red and Black Hair, Brown and Green eyes.
Remus Lupin had seen this once before. The black-haired boy a head taller than the red-haired girl, holding her close to his chest, his chin on top of her head, promising never to let go.
But this time it was different.
The first time he saw it, the red-haired girl came running to him. She had thought he was dead, and she felt horrible about it. When he had stood up and limped away from the rubble of the fallen wall, she ran to him, crying, burying her face in his chest, apologizing for all the times she called him a bullying-toe rag. She promised never to do it again, just as long as he wouldn't ever let her think he was gone again. The black-haired boy looked confused for just a moment, knowing that this very girl had told him yesterday he was an immature prat and she would never ever consider dating him, but then recovered, holding her tight in her arms despite his injuries, promising her that she would never have to live without him.
This time, the black-haired boy ran back to the red-haired girl. He had told him she was dead, He said that he wasn't strong enough to be able to save the one he loved. The black-haired boy didn't take challenges well, and decided to show Him just how strong he was. When the black-haired boy finished, he turned calling her name. She came towards him, but he was faster, running to her, grabbing her into his arms. He promised that she would always be safe, she was his now. He promised they'd be okay together, and the red-headed girl told him softly that she knew if from the beginning, but she could forgive him for being slow as he was friends with her brother.
Remus Lupin smiled, as he compared both the scenes. One thing was the same between both of the couples.
That kiss of pure love.
He just hoped that the second one would lead to a brighter future.
Red and Black Hair, Brown and Green eyes.
Who cared if the eyes didn't match up with the hair?
