Not very believable, but just a bit of fun!!
And so it began, three days straight of a stake out that Starsky just didn't want to be on. Whine, whine, whine. Hutch wasn't sure he could stand it.
"Starsky you get more like an old woman everyday. It is a stake out for cripes sake, not a day spent down a sewer. Then you'd have reason to complain" Hutch reasoned.
"Hutch, sitting in this garbage can, you call a car, I may as well be down the sewer." Starsky grumbled.
"Starsky if you didn't insist on driving around in a souped up tomato, that you can see from the moon, then we could'a' brought your car."
Starsky shot Hutch a look that told him, enough. Hutch sighed and slumped back into his seat.
Starsky continued to whine, whine, whine.
For three hours Hutch sat, Starsky whined. Hutch shuffled, Starsky whined. Hutch sighed, Starsky whined. Eventually Hutch snapped, "ENOUGH!!!"
Starsky was taken back. He raised an eyebrow at Hutch, "Woaw Blondie, where'd'at come from?" he asked, half amused.
"Starsky we have been in this car for two days and three hours, straight, and all you have done is whine. The only peace I get is when you are sleeping and then I have to listen to you dreaming.!"
"You listen to me dreaming Damn it Hutch, you got no right to listen to me dream"
Hutch slapped his thighs, "I give up" he said, with a sigh. "Starsky you are impossible. How can I NOT listen to you sleeping, pray tell?"
"Well," Starsky began.
"You know what, don't tell me, I don't think my brain could cope with the answer."
Starsky began to answer but on seeing his partners face, decided against it.
They continued to sit. Hutch sighed, Starsky whined. Hutch yawned, Starsky whined. Hutch began to sing, Starsky……………………….stopped whining. He began to listen. Then he began to join in. Presently they were both singing Tie a Yellow Ribbon, at the top of their voices. Before they knew it the stake out was over. Hutch looked at Starsky. Starsky looked at Hutch. They both grinned. "Wonder when the next stake out will be?" Starsky asked, as Hutch started the engine and pulled away.
