It was snowing lightly in the forest Kagome and Inuyasha were standing, under a tree, just enjoying each other's company, and watching the snowflakes around them.

"It's Christmas," Kagome suddenly stated, out of the blue.

"Huh? What's a Christmas?" Inuyasha asked, apparently clueless. Figures. She smiled.

"It's a celebration from my era, a time where you give each other gifts and eat good food," she told him. It was silent moment while Inuyasha went through this information.

"Hey! Don't tell me you expect me to give you something!" He suddenly exclaimed. Kagome laughed and shook her head.

"No, that's not necessary," she said and looked down. Once again there was a comfy silence.

Soon Kagome looked up and noticed something in the crown of the tree they leaned at. She let up a small gasp.

"What's the matter Kagome," Inuyasha asked and let his eyes fall on the girl beside him. She lifted one mitten covered hand to point at the thing in the tree. "It's a mistletoe, why?" He stated before he noticed the light blush on Kagome's cheeks, it didn't look like it was the colds fault.

"Yeah, I know," she whispered softly, "we're standin' under it."

"…So?" Suddenly, Kagome smiled.

"You know what I told you about Christmas right?"

"Yeah, so?"

"Do you know what the mistletoe means on Christmas?" She asked, still smiling and her eyes were filled with something Inuyasha couldn't pinpoint.

"Uuhh… No?"

"I think I'll show you," she stated softly. Soon, her lips were carefully planted on the taller demon's own lips. Unable to act, Inuyasha just stood there and blushed badly.

Kagome let the shy kiss go to an end and looked pleased with inuyasha's silent reaction. She backed a few steps and waved at the stunned demon. Then she turned around and ran, following their nearly snowed-up footsteps back to the campfire and the other's.
