Kinkoju no Fuda=Forbidden Individual Curse Tag

An adaptation of "Annabel Lee" by Edgar Allan Poe

It was many and many a year ago,

In the village of Konoha,

That a kunoichi there lived whom few may know,

By the name of Rin Nohara.

And this kunoichi she lived with little other thought,

Than to love and be loved by me.

A genin team of three - Rin, Obito, and me.

An eternal triangle of three.

But he loved with a love that was more than love—

He and only he—

With a love that he concealed from her,

Coveting her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,

In the village of Konoha,

The Kinkoju no Fuda was sealed on,

The beautiful Rin Nohara.

So that during the battle of Kannabi Bridge,

Under the guise of Kirigakure,

Madara bore her away from me-

To trap her as the jinchuriki of the three tails, Isobu no Sanbi.

His plot to destroy the village hidden in the leaves.

Obito, not half so happy in purgatory,

Went envying her and me.

Yes! That was the reason as he watched, unknown to me,

In the shadows of Konohagakure-

That the chidori by my hand pierced her heart.

Suicide - Rin's self-sacrificing,

Awakened Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan.

But her love it was stronger by far for the village,

Of those who were older than she,

Of many far wiser than she.

And neither the kunai in hand of a rogue Nin,

Nor the demons down under the roots of the trees,

Can ever dissever my soul from the souls,

Of Minato, Obito and she.

I close my eyes and nightmares arise,

Of Minato, Obito and Rin.

And the stars never rise, but I see the bright smiles,

Of the young Obito and Rin.

And so, every dawn, I rise and I stand before the Cenotaph,

Of my friend—my seeing eye—my kunoichi and my Sensei,

their sepulchre near Training Ground Three.

I trace their names in stone,

etched forever in me.
