Power/Rangers – The Full Story

Chapter 01

Disclaimer: Ok, so I have no official involvement with either the Power Rangers franchise OR the awesome folks who made the dark Power/Rangers R-rated bootleg video online. I make no money from their works, I simply draw inspiration from them.

Important: While this is based on what we saw in Power/Rangers, I will be taking dramatic license to modify it in some ways. The short film's purpose was to over expose the dark and gritty tendencies of Hollywood. This is more of a what if they actually did make a dark and gritty Power Rangers, with a similar premise to what we saw in the short film.

Enjoy.

She stood in a little chapel on the east side of town. Her white dress was more of a pale gray, the dirt smears still faintly visible despite her best efforts. Across from her, his gray tux his the appearance of grime better. He looked… perfect. She smiled, and reached over to take his hand. There was an electric shock as her fingers intertwined with his. She looked deep into his eyes, and for the first time in so long, Kimberly Hart was happy.

The minister motioned for them to take their places. His speech was short, and then came the rings. They were probably iron, or aluminum, Kimberly knew, it was all they could afford, but in this lighting they looked gold enough. In front of them, the minister turned to the man she stood on the altar with. "Do you, Jason Scott, take Kimberly Hart, to be your lawful wedded wife?"

"I do," Jason replied firmly. Even after all the battles, Kimberly still marveled how he still had that round baby face from when they first met. Even she had a few tiny nicks here and there on her face, none of them had emerged unscarred. But Jason, he had weathered the years of battle best.

The same question was asked of Kimberly, and for a moment she froze. Staring into Jason's eyes, she remembered the night before. He had asked her if she was sure about this. Jason had asked that same question over and over again, ever since she had told him that she wanted to take their casual fucking to another level. She understood his insecurity, she knew why he sometimes felt like he was the consolation prize. For years, Jason had watched her fawn over another, and deep down Kimberly knew that a part of her still wished that it was long, flowing brown locks of hair resting on the shoulders of her groom's tux.

But Tommy was gone. Probably dead, for all they knew, just like all the other Rangers. The two of them were all that was left of their team. They were powerless, they were helpless, and in another year those chips would get shoved into their heads, and who knew what would happen then. So there was no reason to delay. They were happy together, being with each other was the only happy thing in either of their miserable lives. What little time remained to them as free beings, they were going to dedicate it to each other.

"I do," Kimberly told the minister, who smiled. "By the power vested in me," he continued, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." The kiss was powerful, sending chills down her spine. Jason's strong arms wrapped around her, pressing her whole body up against him. She could feel him shaking with desire. Soon, she thought with a smirk, kissing him back even more fiercely than before.

After what seemed like an eternity, they finally separated. A handful of friends were there, but no one else. There was cheering, and they had some champagne. And then, they left. Newlyweds climbing into a car, hand in hand. Kimberly's head was spinning, both from the champagne and how beautiful this day was. She had forgotten that there could actually be perfect moments in this life.

"Alright, folks, these two lovebirds just got hitched, they are aching to fuck like I ain't never seen before, so move your asses so I don't get baby making juice on my leather," their friend and driver TJ shouted at some nearby cars in the parking lot, causing Kim and Jason to burst out laughing hysterically. "I swear to God," TJ continued, "people these days…"

They came out of nowhere. Commandoes in full Kevlar, head to toe, surrounding their car before they could even get out of the chapel parking lot. Kim grabbed Jason's hand, her heart leaping into her throat. TJ screamed out some expletives as the commandos stormed the car, bashing in the windows and dragging the three occupants out.

"W-What's going on? I-I didn't do nothing here guys, what…" TJ was shouting before being muffled out of her line of vision. Kimberly found herself wrestled to the ground, as soldiers came over with restraints.

Instantly, her training took over. Using the near inhuman flexibility that years of gymnastics had developed, she twisted her hips around to wrap her legs around one of her captors, throwing him back onto the ground. Suddenly she had an arm free, which she used to plant a firm punch across the jaw of another soldier. Grabbing a gun, she opened up on the other troopers, spraying bullets into them. Looking across the car, she saw that Jason was behaving similarly. He had gotten his hands on an assault rifle, and she saw him take down at least three commandos with a single volley before she turned her attention back to the trooper who was currently charging her with a knife. Out of bullets, she moved fast, deflecting his stabbing attack and planting her foot in his groins before he could react.

As he dropped to the ground, Kimberly heard a sound that chilled her to the bone. Turning her head, she saw Jason's face contorted in pain as he let out a blood curling scream. He was clutching his chest as he sank to the ground. "Nooooo!" Kimberly shrieked, running over to him. She grabbed his legs and pulled him behind the car, staring at what was clearly a laser wound to his shoulder. A laser wound…

"Noooo!" she screamed again, as blood trickled out of Jason's mouth.

He reached up and touched her face. "I-I love y-y…" Kimberly went numb. The whole world seemed to fade away for a bit. The next thing she knew her hands were secured behind her back and she was being slammed into the hood of a car. TJ was there, out cold from a gash on his forehead. And then standing over her, was him. She knew it was him when she saw the laser burn, the burn that k… That burn, it could've only come from a Power Ranger's blaster.

"He was your friend," she whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks. "He was your best fucking friend, and you fucking killed him!" She was shrieking now, struggling against her captors, trying somehow to launch herself at him. "You traitor! You fucking worthless piece of shit! I'm going to kill you! If it's the last thing I do, I will fucking kill you!" Even now, even after having betrayed everything they stood for, he was the only one who still wielded the power. His black suit had changed slightly since the old days, with armor plating replacing mystical fabric. Reaching down to his belt, he touched his morpher and in a flash of light the armor was gone. All that was left was the man, looking at her with those deep, sad eyes.

"No, Kimberly," Zack Taylor said softly. "You're all the traitors. You forced me to kill him. Don't make me kill you too." Then he was gone, teleported away, as his goons threw a bag over her head and shoved her into a van.

Kimberly's whole world was just nothing. She knew she was someplace, but she didn't pay close enough attention to it to know where. There were people around, but she didn't listen to what they said, and her eyes stared right past their faces. The world was numb to her, all she could see was Jason's face, as he…

"Hey!" The sharp voice snapped her out of her pain. Looking around, she found herself in a pretty traditional prison cell, bars and all. "Hey!" it came again. Kimberly turned to her left to see that TJ was leaning against the bars in the adjacent cell. "Oh, about time you snap out of that shit," he snapped at her. "Seriously, Kimmy, why the fuck did you and your boy have to go attack the cops? The whole thing was some fucking misunderstanding, but then you had to go and…"

"Shut up," Kim hissed, turning away from him. She was lying on a cot, but as she groped around she could find no pillow to try and help block out his whining.

"I mean, seriously, where is your Kung Fu husband right now any…"

"He's dead!" she shouted, cutting him off. TJ's eyes grew wide as he processed what she had just said. "He's dead," she repeated, softer. "T-They killed him. He killed him."

"Wait, 'he'?" TJ asked. "You know who these creeps are?"

"You mean you don't?" she scoffed. "Ever heard of CISCO?"

"Wait, that crazy hippie tech collective?" TJ was puzzled by her response.

"Oh, dude, they are so much more than that," she whistled. "CISCO is the Coalition for International Security, Cooperation, and Order. Basically they're overseeing an effort to use technology to bring about world peace, by putting computer chips in everyone's brain."

"Wait, that's actually happening? I thought that new law just said we all need to get health monitor implants and shit. That's it."

Kim shook her head. "All of these monitoring implants are linked to the body's nervous system. Even if they can't completely take control of your brain that way, it's the first step."

"Take control of my brain? Damn girl, seriously? I was supposed to be at work today, you bitch! Instead your bat brained paranoia is probably going to cost me that job and probably get me send to fucking Gitmo!"

"It's not paranoia when it's alien technology they're putting in your body," she retorted.

"Oh, so it's alien now? God, I can't believe this, I'm locked up here with a nut job. I am so going to…"

"Ok, listen!" Kimberly climbed out of bed and stormed over to grab TJ's shirt through the bars. "I just watched the man I love, someone I have literally been to hell and back with, killed right in front of me. An evil force that I gave up most of my life fighting to try and stop is about to take over our planet. So I need you to stop whining," she took a deep breath, "because I need to figure out a way out of here." She could almost feel Jason's smile, she knew how he would be reacting in this situation. "And if you are very, very lucky, I'll take you with me."

TJ just stared at her, a stupefied look on his face. "Who are you?" he asked.

She let him go and took a step back from the bars. "I'm the Pink Power Ranger."
