"Stupid Zac for unlocking that merman chamber to begin with. Stupid Erik for pushing him to figure it all out."The merman chamber on Mako Island has been awakened. It soon reveals a secret that should never have uncovered. Post 2x13, Ondina/Erik and Evie/Zac. This is kinda updated for the second half of the season so enjoy!
Mako Island was very peaceful for the middle of the day. Nobody had come by as the two girls had swam away from the island's moon pool and on to land. One girl had long pale hair and a clear complexion. The other had golden hair and bright blue eyes that showed her sunny personality. Both girls had matching long copper colored tails that shimmered in the sun. Both girls looked like locals even though they had just graduated from university far away and had full time jobs. This was their vacation and they wouldn't be missed for a while.
They were used to being on the island and what it did to people. It had been a long time and just seeing the moon pool made them want to check everything out again. After seeing how much the moon pool had changed they planned on exploring the island. Maybe it had changed even more then they had pictured.
"You know what I never noticed," said the golden haired beauty, Bella, looking at the trees on Mako. "We never really explored much of the island. We stayed mostly on the west end, didn't even go near the base of the volcano, or even really beyond the waterfall. It's like we still have the rest of the island to discover."
Next to her the girl, Emma, with her thoughtful eyes only made a curious expression. It was true that they have never really looked farther then the river. Much less the base of the volcano or even the east coast. Maybe there was more to the island then they had thought. There could be ruins of what the island could truly be. Today was the day to clearly explore it all anyway.
Isabella "Bella" Hartley had went to the University of Melbourne to study music and education. Now she was going back to Suncoast High to be the music teacher. Emma Gilbert worked as an event planner at her father's sales business. It was mostly planning parties, dinners, and once Harrison Bennett's third wedding. She was also studying to be a counselor that would help her find even more full time work.
"We could hike up," said Emma alright tightening the laces on her shoes. Both of them set course for the volcano. Supposedly, they would find nothing but at least they got some exercise in that day. Around them birds chirped and crickets singing. Most of the unique creatures around Mako Island was the marine life.
The closer they got, the darker it had gotten until finally the girls could hear voices. The only problem was that none of them had seen anyone else on the island. Emma was seriously going to regret listening to Bella. After all it was her idea but Emma was the one that had agreed. If she had said something then that would make Bella only say she was kidding.
Both girls walked close enough to see the opening in the cave. Curiosity led them to shut up any whispers they might have and walked in. It was like they were drawn there. The further they went into the cave they got closer to the talking. The talking, however, sounded more like chanting than anything else.
Soon they had come to a strange room. It is a big circular room that has a big trident symbol on the floor, with 12 curved bioluminescent pillars surrounding it, and a stand with a boy saying strange words. He didn't look familiar but at least he looked like he was from this century. He had on cargo shorts and a light colored shirt. His shoes tossed to the side and he stood barefoot in front of the pedestal.
Hypnotized by what he was saying both girls walked into the middle of the chamber. Bella's dress had swayed in the non-existent wind. Then as soon as they touched the trident in the middle of the floor, both girls disappeared.
The chanting figure had only snapped out of his trance when he had heard voices. Zac Blakely only looked down in horror that he had made two girls disappear. Two girls that had to be land girls that had fallen into the moon pool like him.
