Second Chances Don't Have To Be Mistakes

After the outburst of the Family Day Festivities the King stormed into his chambers followed by his wife,

"I warned him! I said this would happen" He announced angrily before tossing his crown on the bed frustrated before sitting on the sofa chair and but his face in his hands,

"It seems that I cannot be both a great king and father at the same time" he said dejectedly and his wife came and sat beside him before placing a gentle kiss to his cheek,

"You're a great father and our son will be as great a kind as you are" she told him gently and her husband sighed,

"Not if he keeps making mistakes. He shares your compassion Belle and that is what clouds his judgement. He refuses to believe that those….. Those children are evil" he said with a frustrated tone and Belle thought for a moment before smiling softly,

"There was a time when we first met that people thought you were evil" she reminded him and he stood up,

"That was completely different….. I was cursed" he argued and Belle smiled and stood up before wrapping her arms around his waist from behind,

"You were cursed with the form of a beast my darling… Not the anger of one" she corrected and she slowly turned him towards her and cupped both his cheeks gently,

"I saw the best in you just as our son has seen the best in Mal…. He's growing up and we have to allow him to make his own choices and mistakes" she said,

"So yes I saw the best within a beast and it turned out not to be a mistake" she said before pressing a kiss to his cheek and he smiled at his beloved wife,

"Second chances don't have to be mistakes" she finished gently before they both hugged each other.
