Officer Zenigata of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department does his best to juggle his work and home life, but with the growing number of gangs and the long hours, he finds that isn't always so easy. Rated T for language, violence and mild suggestive content.

1. About and Characters

ABOUT

This story is written sort of like a TV show, each chapter being an act in an episode, with each episode being four chapters: teaser/act one, act two, act three, act four/tag. It starts with a pilot, followed by twelve episodes for the first season, with each succeeding season containing twelve episodes. Each season will deal with something different with not much time passing between them.

The chapters are going to be long.

Zenigata will be the main focus, the people around him having minor roles, but major roles in how his life changes. As this takes place years before the show everyone will be younger. Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, and Fujiko will eventually show up, as well as some other characters.

I have no idea how Japan works, so things will be wrong.

There may be a lot of characters to this story. I'm hoping if that's the case that it doesn't get very confusing.

This story contains lots of drama, conversations, made up past histories, and friendship.

A fifteen year old criminal. Shot Kousei Zenigata to death.

Inspector Kousei Zenigata
An old timer on the police force. Shot to death at the age of sixty three while chasing down a suspect.

Part of Kobey's gang. Watched the murder.

Unnamed Boy 2
Part of Kobey's gang. Watched the murder.

Unnamed Boy 3
Part of Kobey's gang. Watched the murder.

Kobey Izo
Part of Kobey's gang. Watched the murder when he was nine years old.

Officer Heiji Zenigata
The son of Kousei. Became obsessed with solving his father's murder and eventually drank himself to death.

Inspector Kenzou Goto
Long time officer who headed the Zenigata murder case.

Officer Koichi Zenigata
The twenty nine year old son of Heiji. A committed member of the police force, he is happy to do the jobs he is given. Wishes to solve his grandfathers murder.

Hisako Zenigata
The twenty eight year old wife of Koichi.

Toshiko Zenigata
The seven year old daughter of Koichi and Hisako.

Officer Hotaka Narita
A twenty six year old single man who likes to party. Zenigata's partner for almost four years.

Captain Mamoru Oshiro
The captain of the patrol unit at the Hino Police Station. One time partner of Heiji Zenigata.

Officer Yasu Ozawa
Twenty six year old newly promoted patrol cop. Sergeant Watanabe's partner.

Sergeant Naomi Watanabe
Thirty three year old patrol cop. Very athletic.

Officer Yori Goto
Thirty eight year old patrol cop. Sergeant Watanabe's running partner.

Officer Nobuo Higa
Twenty seven year old patrol cop. Officer Goto's partner.

Detective Hitoshi Suzuki
Worked in the drug unit. Often went undercover to try and bust up drug gangs. Shot and killed while on the job.

Detective Teruo Ono
Worked in the drug unit as Detective Suzuki's partner. Shot and killed while on the job.

Inspector Kuya Hidaka
Average looking and pudgy forty three year old man. Works in the Homicide unit. The police chiefs nephew, he is married with a teenage son.

Inspector Shigeru Kinjo
A tall and thin thirty two year old man with glasses. Inspector Hisaka's partner for seven years. Married with two young daughters.

Takao
The cousin of the leader of the Skulls, a small weapon smuggling gang.
