It was freezing outside. I couldn't feel my fingers or toes. I had been tossed out into the cold with nothing warm. Nothing to keep me tethered to the ground.

"Please don't go!" I had begged her, but she wouldn't listen.

"I have to, sweetie. I'm sorry." she whispered back.

"At least promise me that you'll come back for me."

"I promise, honey. I promise."

But that promise wasn't kept. As soon as she stepped outside the door, the blood curdling scream was ripped lose from her lips. At gunpoint, one could see my sisters face turn stark white. But I didn't see anything but her getting swept away by some giant, unseen object.

"Jackie!" I cried, running out into the raging blizzard. "Jackie!"

A trail of crimson blood led off into tje dark, cold night. I shivered as the door slammed shut behind me, locking me out with the instant lock Jackie had made. My hands reached for my arms, trying to keep me warm as I wandered in the cold dark night. "Jackie!" I cried once more, tears streaming down my face. "Where are you? Jackie!"

I heard a crunch and then a jingle... Jackie's keys. I looked down and picked them up, blurry eyed from my crying. The silver metal was stained with blood, but the trail also ended there. I looked a few more feet to my right and found Jackie, dead on the ground, her throat and gut torn out.

"No!" I screamed, rushing over to her. "Jackie!" My cries sounded like a banshee, screaming at high pitches. They woke the ghosts, the phantoms waking call. My sister was dead, and I was to blame.

I knew it was going to happen. I knew it was going to be to her. But now all I want to know is when it's going to be my turn to end up like this, in this state, exactly like Jackie.

I should be the one dead, and now, because of me, it was her. I should have died with her. I should be dead now. But I'm not. And it's all because of me. Because I saw it coming, I didn't try my hardest to stop her from leaving.

And now somebody was going to pay for killing her.
