So looking at the comments, I just realized that I accidentally posted the rough draft for this story instead of the final draft. This probably has to do with the fact that it was 2 AM when I initially published it. So for New Years, here is the REAL version of my holiday special.
Merry Christmas everyone! Heres a little something for the holidays! Enjoy!
Beeeep Beeeep... *Beeeep Beeeep...
"Stupid fox... Just pick up already."
Beeeep Beee- *crk-* "Hello?"
"Finally!"
"Um, hello?"
"Hey, Nick! I just wonderin-"
"Hello? Is anyone there? Hello?"
"Ummm... Nick, can you hear me?"
"Oh hey! Sorry about that! What were you saying now?"
"First off, get your hearing checked. You're already going deaf. That or you need a new phone. Second, I was going to ask you if you wanted to-"
"Sorry! I think I might have lost you right there."
"Seriously? Nick, can you hear me!"
"Ha! Just kidding! This is just a voice recording! Try calling back later, or don't. That's always fine choice too!"
"Sweet cheese and... sometimes I just wanna slap that annoying fox..."
A certain grey bunny with amethyst eyes was thumping her foot loudly against her apartment floor.
"Hey! Could you keep it down in there? We're trying to watch the television in here!"
"Sorry!"
"Shut up dude! we just missed the best part!"
"No, how about you shut up!"
"No, you shut up!"
Judy groaned and rolled her eyes. This happens to her literally every single day. Luckily she usually isn't here to experience all of it as she is busy working at the ZPD as their first rabbit officer. In one week, Christmas will pay a visit and, mammals all over the world will get together with friends and family to celebrate and she is on leave.
In this case, Judy is trying to invite her partner in crime, and first fox of the ZPD, Nick Wilde, to her family's home for the holidays.
"Where the heck are you Nick? I- Wait a minute..."
Elsewhere...
"And that will be two dollars, sir! Thank you and goodbye," A sweating cheetah happily grabs himself a frozen treat, placing the money into the waiting paw. "Yo Finnick!"
"What?" asks a deep voice, surprisingly coming from a small fennec fox.
"I think this guy just accidentally gave us five bucks!"
"Nice! That gives us like fifteen dollas now!"
"I know! This is the life ain't it? Im gonna miss it."
Suddenly, a loud voice echoed through the street bringing everything to a standstill.
"NICK PIBERIUS WILDE!!!"
"Finnick, I think that that's our cue to leave buddy."
"Oh no, you don't!" Nick looked back and was suddenly filled with horror as Judy was running at him full speed, fuming with anger.
"Hey, carrots! I can explai- oof!" Judy tackled the tod to the ground with great force.
"You promised to me that you would quit hustling mammals once you graduated from the academy!"
"Well, I didn't exactly promise I would. I just told you I would. No promises." He said anxiously to get away from Judy.
"Don't you dare think about getting out of this."
Well, that failed... thought Nick.
"You can't do this anymore Nick. You're an officer now. you have to live up to that."
"You bunnies, so emotional. It was one hustle okay? It was my last one too alright? Even Finnick could tell you. Where is that little bugger anyways..."
"Ugh... Nick fine, but I never want to see you doing this again alright?"
"Roger that, lieutenant Hopps," He stated with a salute, and then with a grin, he said, "Can you get off me now? Someone might begin to get suspicious."
Judy quickly removed herself from him and was growing red from embarrassment. "Right, sorry. Ummm..."
"It's okay cottontail. I know you can't resist me. None of the ladies can."
Judy punched him in the arm and said, "Nick stop it. You're making me more embarrassed."
"You know... somebody is looking pretty C.U.T.E. all embarrassed right now."
"What did you just call me?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about carrots. You might wanna get those ears checked."
"Okay then... just sayin but, you should be careful with what comes out of your mouth sometimes. Somebody might hurt ya really, really bad for that," she said with a smile. "Let me take you to Snarlbucks so we can talk more. C'mon."
At Snarlbucks...
"Hey Nick, our cocoa is ready. Drink up." Judy placed the two warm drinks on the table where Nick was awaiting her.
"Thanks. You know, you gave us quite the scare back there," he said.
"I guess scaring stray foxes is just one of my many skills!"
"Yeah, tell me something I don't know. So what did you want to talk about exactly?" he asked placing his hands behind his head.
"Well, you would already know what I'm about to talk about if you were actually home to pick of the darn phone."
"Um, sorry about that but, a fox has to do what a fox has to do carrots."
"Right. Now what I was going to ask you is if you would sorta, kinda, possibly, maybe want to come to my place for Christmas?"
"That tiny ol thing? You're kidding right?"
"Of course it's not my apartment Nick. I meant my childhood home, with my parents."
"Oh..."
"I mean if you don't want to that's alright of course."
"Are your parents okay with this? With me being a fox and all..."
"What do you mean? You've met them at the graduation."
In fact, he did meet them. Though they were hesitant, they were quickly able to get used to him. Even Stu ended up enjoying his company much to everyone's surprise.
"I know that. You did tell me that you had over 300 siblings so... Will they be comfortable with me around?"
"I... didn't actually think too much about that... Don't worry about it. I'm sure It'll be fine. Trust me."
Nick took a moment to think before saying, "In that case, why not? I got nowhere else to be anyways. What could possibly go wrong."
"Great! I'm so glad you can come! It's going to be so much fun."
"Well thank you for inviting me then. I appreciate it."
Suddenly, Judy's phone begins to ring.
"Hello? Oh, hey Ben!... Mhmm... Okay, great! Thank you! Merry Christmas! Bye."
"So what did Benji have to say?"
"Sorry, but I've got to go pick something up at the precinct right now. Glad to know you can come. Bye!"
"See ya officer fluff!"
Bunnyburrow. Christmas eve...
"We're finally here Nick!"
Nick and Judy have finally reached the Hopps family's home after traveling for an hour by train.
"Took long enough. I nearly died of boredom on the way here," complained Nick.
"Stop whining and help me bring all of our stuff inside."
Much to Nick's surprise, the house was only one story tall.
"You know... for having over 300 siblings, you have a tiny house."
"Oh, you just wait. You might want to learn to use that head of yours, Nick."
When they entered the home, Nick was expecting a massive wave of bunnies to be occupying it, yet none were there. It was dark and eerily quiet. Too quiet...
"Huh, that's strange. There's usually a lot of them up here most of the time." Judy said.
"How do you get over 300 buns into a house like this anyways?"
"It's all underground. Very efficient."
As they brought their belongings into the home, Nick began growing suspicious. Especially after Judy's previous comment. Suddenly, he saw a flash of color from the corner of his eye.
"Um, carrots?"
"What is it?"
"Can you come to me real quick?"
Once Judy is by his side, he whispers into her ear, "I think someone else is in the room with us."
She gives him a silent nod and moves away from him, quickly glancing around the room for any possible hiding spots.
There are actually a lot of places for someone to go unnoticed.
Suddenly light filled the room and a small figure leaps from the shadow right behind Judy.
"Judy! Behind you!"
She immediately twisted around and rushed at the assailant knocking the mammal over.
"Who are you!? Why are you he- Violet?"
"Eeek!"
All around Judy and Nick, rabbits begin popping out of nowhere all yelling, "Welcome home Judy!"
"Sweet cheese and crackers! Oh, my gosh! Violet are you okay?"
"I-I think so. Just please don't do that ever again?"
"Of course. I'm so sorry!"
"Um, what is going on?" asked Nick who was very shocked.
One of the smaller rabbits piped up and said, "This was supposed to be a surprise since Judy's back. Umm... I guess we got the surprise part down."
"Thank you guys so much!" exclaimed Judy, "And again, I'm so sorry Violet. I didn't mean to."
"It's okay. We're just glad your back."
All the bunnies in the room began to gravitate towards Judy as they all tried to hug her.
Nick, who has finally come out of his state of shock said, "Just sayin but... is this it? Like... I thought Judy said that there were more of you."
"Oh you haven't seen anything yet foxy boy," stated one of the older buns.
"Oh, Mercy..."
In the Warren...
"Holy..."
Nick could barely grasp the number of bunnies that were flooding towards them the moment they arrived. It was scene almost straight out of a horror flick as the swarm of fur rushed at them full speed, getting closer until they were about to collide.
"Motherf-" All of the small bunnies immediately crash into both Nick and Judy, knocking them both off their feet as the horde of rabbits all pushed their way past Nick and towards Judy.
Judy's home! is all that could be heard as the young kits repeated it over and over again. Their words reverberating through the halls.
Suddenly, a loud and authoritative voice cuts through the noise. "KIDS! GET AWAY FROM THEM RIGHT NOW! THEY'RE TIRED AND NEED SPACE!"
All of the sudden, like magic, they all flooded out of the hall and into the rest of the warren.
"I'm so sorry about that guys. They were just so excited and I couldn't hold them back."
"It's okay mom. They're always a handful. I'm just worried about Nick."
When they looked towards the tod's direction, they found him curled up into a fetal position lying on the floor, rocking back and forth.
"I think they broke your fox friend Jude."
"Geeze. Nick, cut it out already."
"How. HOW! How are there so many?! It's not possible! I'm sure that this is all just a really messed up dream I'm having."
"Oh, boy. Mom?"
"Yes, dear?"
"I'm gonna take my stuff to the room alright? Could you help Nick for me?"
"Of course! You get set up and, I'll bring Nick back to the land of the living."
"Great! Thanks, mom! Love Ya!"
Later that evening...
After setting up the room that they will be staying in for the night, Judy decided to go check on Nick. After a bit of searching, she eventually found him with her mother in one of the many kitchens. Nick looked very content as he had a now empty plate of what looks to be blueberry pie.
"How ya doing slick?"
"I feel like I'm in heaven after this pie. It's absolutely amazing!"
Judy smirked and said, "Its known to have that effect on mammals."
yawn..* "I'm starting to get tired. Is the room all set up?"
"Yep."
"Alrighty then. Thank you, Mrs. Hopps. The pie was delicious. Already my best Christmas so far."
"Well, thank you for being so kind. Goodnight now. Merry Christmas!"
With a wave, Nick and Judy left for their room. On the way there Nick asks, "Where's your dad? I haven't seen him."
"He's with some of his high school friends doing who knows what."
"My father used to love Christmas. We would have so much fun together. Me, my mother... my father..."
"You know... I think this is the first time you've ever mentioned your father. The first time you've mentioned anyone from your family really."
"There really isn't much that I would like to mention carrots and, I'm getting tired so I would like to stop talking now."
"Okay, that's fine. Sorry, I guess..."
They eventually made their way back to their room.
"Make yourself at home Nick. This is just the guest room so nothing too special."
"As long as I can sleep comfortably I'll be fine."
And sleep comfortably they did...

The next morning, both of them were awoken to the sounds of joyful screaming throughout the house. Today is Christmas morning.
"Merry Christmas carrots."
"Merry Christmas slick."
Nick let out a loud yawn before saying, "I slept like a kit last night! Dang! Haven't woken up feeling this great in a while!"
"Glad to hear it, buddy! Let's head to the main room when you're ready alright?"
30 min later...
"It's a freakin maze down here! How the heck do you guys know where to go!"
"When ya grow up in a house like this, it all becomes natural."
The duo eventually found their way to the main room. It is a large circular room with a high domed ceiling. At its center sat a magnificent tree decorated with various lights and ornaments. But what left Nick absolutely speechless, was the sea of bunnies occupying the room; all of them screaming and yelling. Their voices amplified by the echoing walls.
"Hey, carrots."
"What is it?"
"Nick.exe has stopped working."
Out of nowhere, Mrs. Hopps appeared right behind them. She took a deep breath in and yelled, "QUIET!!"
And just like that, they all stopped what they were doing and all was silent. Well... either that or Nick and Judy have both gone deaf... they're probably fine... I hope...
"Hey fluff, you alright there?"
"I think so. You get used to it living here."
Now that everyone was quiet, Bonnie finally asked everyone, "Who's ready for Santa!"
The room immediately burst back into the same chaos as before.
Now it was Nick's turn to ask a question. This time to Judy.
"Santa? What's going on here?"
"You'll see," she answered with a smile.
Suddenly, all around them, kits began to chant.
"SANTA! SANTA! SANTA!"
Even Judy joined in and she motioned for Nick to join in as well though, he happily declined. Then, from the ceiling came a loud and jolly, "Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas!"
To Nick's surprise once more, he could see that Stu was descending on a rope dressed up as Santa."
"Look everybody! Santa Paws is here!" bellowed Bonnie.
Nick then said, "Santa Paws? Whatever happened to Santa Claws?"
"We're bunnies officer Wilde. Santa Paws is far more appropriate. Besides, it's what I grew up with."
"Well, not exactly what I grew up with."
By now Stu had about 5 feet left to go when suddenly, the rope snapped and Stu landed on his bottom with an audible thud.
Judy could barely hear him say, "Dang, useless piece of rope..."
"You okay Dad!"
"I'm fine dear! Now then, who wants some presents!"
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Joy and happiness filled the air as gift wrap is thrown every which way, with squeals of glee and delight to replace them. All was merry and bright, as the song goes. Now, it was Nick's turn to give something to his favorite grey bunny...
"Hey, Judy. I've got something special here for you. Merry Christmas."
Nick pulled a small wrapped bow out of his pocket and gave it to her.
"Thank you, Nick. You didn't have to you know."
"I'm pretty sure everybody says that. Now open your gift already."
Nick watched carefully as Judy began to tear away the carrot wrapping paper. Slowly but surely, the small black bow underneath was revealed. Judy took the time to caress the box.
"Go on now, open the box."
There was a slight sparkle in Nick's eye as he watched her then slowly remove the box's lid and she gasped. Inside was a beautiful necklace with a single white diamond in the shape of a single carrot. Suddenly, all of the screaming and yelling seemed to just disappear.
"It-it's-it's beautiful Nick. Thank you..."
"Allow me to put it on for you."
Judy closed her eyes as Nick brought up the ends of the necklace around her neck.
"You can open your eyes now."
Judy slowly opened her eyes and looked down to see the necklace and, she was awestruck with how something so simple could hold so much beauty.
"Thank you, Nick. So much. It's perfect."
"I thought so."
"Here. I have something for you too."
"Thank you, Judy. I know I'll love it.
Nick's present was neatly and carefully wrapped in a festive Pawaiin pattern.
Nick quickly removed the gift wrapping revealing a black box similar to the one given to Judy.
"Is it a million dollars by any chance?"
"Ha, no."
"Missed opportunity Miss Hopps."
Nick finally opened the box to reveal an orange carrot pen.
"Just like yours?"
"Yep. Now we have a matching set! It- it's probably not as great as your gift but-"
"I love it Judes. I absolutely love it."
"I- I'm glad you think so."
Nick approached her and brought her into a tight embrace.
"Thank you so much. For all of this. The gift, inviting me here; all of it."
Pulling away he said, "It's been a while for me, having a great Christmas like this. My last good one was probably just before my father left, and that was ages ago. Thank you."
"You're always welcome to join us for things like this Nick. And thank you for the necklace. It's truly amazing."
He silently nodded and they both went off to enjoy the rest of this wonderful Christmas day.
So this is a bit late but I hope you all enjoyed your holidays!
