New story! Yays! So it shall be a Cowboy Bebop story with Spike as the love interest—love that sexy cowboy—and his love interest will be an OC. Don't like it, don't read. It will take place after the last episode. Anyway, I hope you enjoy and if you like KHR, please check out my Xanxus and Gokudera stories. Enjoy and please review—constructive criticism is welcomed, flaming is not.
Disclaimer: I do NOT own Cowboy Bebop or its characters. I just own my OC and the plot of this story.
BEAUTIFUL NIGHTMARE
Preface
Darkness. That was all he saw for miles. Until the black eventually faded into white. He then, surrounded by light, a bright light.
His body felt weightless. He felt no pain. As light as a feather and so free.
Heaven.
He had to be in Heaven.
Ironic., he thought. He had always thought he'd go to Hell. It seemed to suit him better. Then again, he couldn't really argue. Heaven was supposed to be better than Hell, right?
Suddenly, a voice called out to him.
God?
Impossible. He wasn't religious. Besides, wasn't God supposed to be male? This voice was too feminine to be considered a man's voice.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!" called the voice repeatedly, frantically. It sounded so far away.
Yeah, it was definitely female.
"Hey! Can you hear me! Are you alive! Hey!"
Alive?
Such a laughable word. Of course he wasn't alive. He hadn't even considered himself alive when he was actually physically alive.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!"
This person was sure persistent and getting louder.
Louder?
No...
The bright light faded back into darkness. And ever so slowly, the pain was coming back. Then, it suddenly, all came back at once, hitting him like a brick.
Pain.
Agony.
So much pain. It was agonizing.
Releasing a choked and pain-filled gasp, his eyes fluttered open. Along with pain, he also felt rain pelting him.
Wonderful...
Through his partially-lidded and blurry vision, he saw a face. Or at least what he thought was a face. He groaned and squinted. His head pounded.
The face was still blurry, but it was slightly clearer. A woman. A woman with bright eyes and wavy, long hair. She looked worried and panicky.
Julia?
No...don't be...ridiculous...
Julia...
His Julia, she was already gone. He had seen it.
"Just hang in there! I'll go get help! Just don't die! Don't die!" And then, her face was gone.
He laughed only to cough and gag on blood.
Don't die!
Easy for her to say...
He was surprised he had lived that long.
It was turn. He would get to see Julia again.
He closed his eyes.
What did he have to live for anymore?
Don't die!
Easy for her to say...
