The Little Sister stared defiantly into Vexen's eyes, seemingly fearless of the knife at her throat.
"When Daddy comes, he's gonna unzip you," she threatened, making a motion as if to work the zipper of a coat.
The Chilly Academic just laughed in derision. "He's dead little girl, and he isn't coming back," he sneered, showing off a mouthful of yellowed teeth.
And then the noise of shattering glass caught every Splicer's attention in the church. They looked up to see the stained-glass roof of the First Rapture Catholic Church fall in millions of tiny pieces, followed by a massive and terrifyingly familiar form.
"Oh shit..." Vexen swore. Hadn't that thing been crushed underneath the ruins of Michelangelo Tower?
The yellow-eyed girl he held captive merely giggled in delight. "Daddy!"
Subject Delta crashed down, the weight of his armor causing the church floor to crack and shudder beneath his boots. The rivet gun clutched in his fist bellowed its mortal rage twice, instantly ending two Splicers unlucky enough to be standing a wee bit too close to his LZ.
The gigantic Big Daddy took a step towards Vexen, growling threateningly. The Splicer was unfazed.
"Take one more step, Daddy," he warned, putting the knife against the girl's throat, "And I end this one. Got it?"
A massive explosion tore through a side wall. The Wanderer daintily stepped through the new hole in the solid granite partition, Rain Fall already summoned and readied, her other hand still smoking from the Firaga.
"You took something important from Delta," the blue-haired woman said coolly.
"And what do you intend to do about it?" Vexen snarled, whipping the Little Sister around as a human shield.
Twin flaming wheels sliced through a half dozen Leadhead and Thuggish Splicers, charbroiling and shredding their already twisted bodies. A pillar of pure darkness swirled into existence, and a sanguine-haired man clad in a midnight-black cloak stepped out from it just in time to catch his chakrams.
"We're getting her back, Vexy," Axel smirked. "Got it memorized?"
Before the Academic could retort, the floor tiles five meters away began rippling in a small circle. Roxas rose up from the earth he'd been hidden in, Oblivion and Oathkeeper held off to his sides. Beside the former Nobody, Kairi lowered her magic-using hand and Destiny Place came up to the girl's chest in a combat position.
"We'd prefer not to use violence," the Key of Destiny deadpanned. Unfortunately for the man who was his target, it was clear that the blond was joking.
"But we'd very much like to," the Seventh Princess of Heart chimed in.
Vexen was surrounded and dead and he very much knew it. But hey, he could still take some of these bastards (and bitches for the ladies, he was no sexist), and that was always good for the Organization.
"You want this girl?" he smirked, squeezing the Little Sister's shoulder. His shield flashed to life in a shower of snowflakes. "Then come and get her!"
