Skylar was nervous about cooking for Anna for the first time. He had taken a few cooking classes, but he had yet to attempt cooking for anyone else but himself.
He would be attempting to make garlic bread for an appetizer, lasagna for the main course, and brownies for dessert.
Just as he was finished planting the appetizer and main course, the doorbell rang. Skylar was surprised to see it was Anna. "Hey, sorry I'm early. The 405 had like no traffic for once so I made it here a lot faster than anticipated," the blonde said sheepishly as she walked into her boyfriend's apartment.
"It's no problem. I'm just sad that I won't be able to surprise you with dinner." Skylar said as he led Anna into kitchen to reveal the finished garlic bread, lasagna, and brownie ingredients on the counter.
"Oh my gosh, this is so sweet. Now I feel bad for ruining the surprise."
A smile spread across Skylar's face. "No way, we can bake the brownies together. Here, measure out the ingredients while I go grab you a cute little apron."
Anna grabbed a measuring cup to measure the necessary amount of flour. To level out the measurement, she blew on it, making flour get everywhere, including Skylar's face. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry, please don't be mad." Anna begged as she tried to keep herself from laughing.
Skylar silently grabbed a towel to wipe his face off before grabbing an egg and cracking it over Anna's head, making the blonde scream. "What the heck? It was an accident, I swear!" all while laughing at the ridiculousness of the situation.
"Oh yeah, you had no idea that blowing on the flour would make it go everywhere?"
"I didn't think so much would get on you," Anna mumbled.
"And egg is good for your hair, so if anything you owe me an apology and should be thanking me," Skylar said cockily.
Anna rolled her eyes as she started washing her hands before flicking the excess water at Skylar," Not even in your drums.
