I wrote this a number of years ago, when I ran across the title as a Wizarding song

I own nothing but my muse. Unique concepts belong to J.K. Rowling.

I make no profit from this

God Rest you, Merrye Hippogriffs

Tto: God rest ye, merry gentlemen

God rest you , Merrye Hippogriffs,

Your sleep you've earned today!

Last night you flew around the World,

While pulling Santa's Sleigh!

The reindeer had all come down sick,

You came and saved the day!

With the power of Feathers and Fur

Feathers and Fur!

With the Power of Feathers and Fur!

The stable elf ran to the shop

To give the dreadful news

That all the reindeer in the herd

Had come down with the flu!

Santa thought hard for a moment,

Then knew just what to do

"I'll seek help from Feathers and Fur

Feathers and Fur

I'll seek help from Feathers and Fur!"

He tossed a pinch of Floo Powder

Upon the fiery grate

Then stepped right in among the flames

For he could not be late

He spoke a name known to few

And vanished in a blur

In search of Feathers and Fur

Feathers and Fur

In search of Feathers and Fur

The place he sought was far away

From his snowy northern scene

Where hippogriffs, both beast and bird,

Lived in a land of green.

He bowed before a mighty beast

And waited to be seen

To ask aid of Feathers and Fur

Feathers and Fur

To ask aid of Feathers and Fur

The Fearsome creature looked at him

Then bowed back in reply

And Santa spoke "I need your aid

To soar the Yuletide sky"

The noble beast , without a pause,

Quickly launched into the sky

With the grace of Feathers and Fur

Feathers and Fur

With the grace of Feathers and Fur!

Then all across the sleeping world

Formed the Hippogriff Relay

As two by two they formed a brace

To carry Santa's sleigh.

No reindeer magic did they have

Just Heart and Wing and Grace

And the Power of Feather and Fur

Feathers and Fur

And the power of Feathers and Fur!

All through the night they hauled the sleigh

With Santa and the gifts

The teams would change as each did tire

Without a pause or hitch.

The task was done with dawning rays,

They waited not for praise

Of the Labor of Feathers and Fur

Feathers and Fur

Of the Labor of Feathers and Fur!

So, rest you now, good Hippogriffs

It was a noble deed

To give your all in Santa's aid

In his great time of need

The world may never know of this

But the Reindeer Herd will heed

To the Glory of Feathers and Fur

Feathers and Fur

To the Glory of Feathers and Fur!
