Well, this was a prompt I found over on DreamWidth. If any of you don't know about it, I suggest you check it out. Lots of damn good Loser fic over there. A nice little Cougar/Aisha triple drabble. Tell me what you think.

Never Touch The Hat

Cougar likes to think that his mother did a good job raising him. Instilling good manners, morals, and habits. He always holds the door open and waits for Aisha to enter a building first, he pulls out her chair when they sit down, and though he rarely speaks (let alone curses) he makes sure the others watch their mouths when she's in the room. No matter if they are a one night stand or a hopeful relationship, Cougar always treats his women with the respect and admiration they deserve.

Aisha deserved more than any woman he'd ever met.

She was able to deceive them all, straight from the beginning. She fought with Clay and held her own. During the firefight at the LA port, she kept him from getting killed twice. She continued to help them find Max, and she carried her own weight and then some. Aisha was not just another woman. She was almost a force of nature, and was next to impossible to slow down, let alone stop.

That's probably why he was surprised.

When he leaned down, pulled her close and kissed her hard, he expected to be hit at the very least, or shot at the most. He didn't expect her to freeze up momentarily, before leaning into him and deepening the kiss. He had known for a while now that she was not like other women. It had taken him far longer to realize that he felt differently about her from his former relationships. It may not have been love, but it was a feeling he didn't want to end any time soon. She reached up to take his hat off and run her hands through his hair, and he caught her wrist, speaking in a low growl, "Never touch the hat." He pulled her hand to rest at the nape of his neck, and pushed their lips together in an almost punishing kiss.

Because, love or not, Nunca toque el sombrero.
