Harry Potter and the Black Order. By J. C. Rendle.

Chapter 1. Presents.

Harry sat looking out of his window. It was his birthday, not that anyone else in the house cared. Harry had lived with his Aunt and Uncle, and his cousin Dudley, for 14 years and he hated it. It was a relief that he could leave them for a year to go to Hogwarts, his boarding school. You may be thinking, "Hogwarts? What a weird name?" but not for the pupils who went there each year. For Hogwarts was a school for Witches and Wizards, and Harry just happened to be the most famous Wizard there. Harry's eyes flickered to the streetlamp on the other side of the road where a dozen birds were flying his way. He jumped back and open the window wide to let in all the owls. Owls were everywhere, on the bed, on the desk, on the wardrobe everywhere Harry looked around, amazed, and fearful that the owls would wake the Dursleys he untied the parcels and packages and let each owl fly away. In all there must have been at least 23 presents, Harry's eyes widened, never had he received so much on this day. Books and cards, "Exploding Snap(" cards to Wizard chessboards and pieces. When he had put all the presents and cards under the floorboards a pitch black owl flew through the window. Harry stroked it and disappeared from Number 4 privet drive.
